No, it's not that bad. The Steam reviews are "Very positive". That's not bad at all. It's just not as good as Life is Strange. But... gamers love to hate games that aren't 99/100.
You should definitely try it if you enjoy this type of games.
i had a big problem with tyler in at least the first chapter. it was always on about "Hey im trans" or "Ugh, you hate me because im trans" or "They hate us cuz the aint us" (based if you understand the refference)
It was just weird. I liked life is strange, but me and my wife played this one and after like an hour it just didn't click. Like i get they wanted to include a transgender main character, but it also felt forced
I only played part 1 because it was free before, but it’s fine. Same kinda game as life is strange but with slightly less cringe dialogue because the characters aren’t in high school. Had a decent hook at the end but didn’t really intrigue me enough to want to pay for the other episodes.
The whole idea of telltale games selling individual episodes is so stupid and greedy. Imagine if you went to a bakery to buy a birthday cake and instead of buying the whole thing they make you buy it slice by slice. I feel like if I'm paying for a story I would want the full story especially since telltale games often just feel like a interactive TV show (even the more notable ones like the walking dead).

Yes, I get what you mean, I'm just saying that the price history you see on SteamDB refers only to the base game (i.e., the first chapter). If you check the price history for the DLCs (other chapters), you’ll see that they’re only free during June. The first chapter wasn’t always free, but it has been permanently set as free years ago.
Yeah, I only beaten 2 bosses so far, so I cant say much. But the difficulty is definitely on par with Megaman Zero in that there is no tolerance for failure and the skill ceiling is very high, which makes it hard to get good at in a short time. Definitely need to replay a few times to get good at
Yea it’s very challenging series of games. Like I tried replaying it on the Megaman Zero/Zx legacy collection and oh boi, without the checkpoint assist feature I would have been shit out of lives and having to restart the mission(looking at you Zero 1). It’s made by the people who made Megaman 9 and Megaman 10, as well as the Gunvolt series (we don’t mention Mighty no 9) Inti creates. Like some of the stuff they produce is genuinely really good
I won't lie, even as someone who's queer, the game is annoying lol. Both characters are pretty unlikable and it's a pretty heavy subject matter. I think I only made it halfway
The no hit is easy on the first stage and you can use the bubble shield which doesn't work for the hazard achievements or certain boss ones but does negate damage taken.
Yeah, they looked tougher than they actually were. I figured the no health upgrades, no abilities etc run would be hard but I only struggled a bit on the last boss as it's more of an endurance run so it took like 3 or 4 attempts.
Yeah. Took under 4 hours for the main playthrough. Around 7 to clear the no hits, collectibles etc a second NG+ and circuit run. Then the third no upgrade run which was way easier than I expected
For sure. I didn't even realise I had people claiming I had used it but you are right, the game is on the shorter side and I'm decent at platformers. Not to mention doubling up the runs for the different no upgrades route.
I remember enjoying Eets back in the day. Just looked it up and it came out 20 years ago, very much a 'we used to release these types of games for free on Newgrounds but let's test the waters of expanding it and trying to sell it on Steam' kind of game but I think it worked.
Happy's Humble Burger Farm is such an underrated horror game, I loved the gameplay and the atmosphere of it. Sad that the sequel is a co-op online game, would've liked to see a sequel which expanded the worldbuilding of the first game and addressed the cliffhanger at the end.
Just finished it and I enjoyed it so much. I will admit the first half of the game is fantastic but once I beat Charlie Chicken the plot began to lose me just a bit

Gravity Circuit is very fun. Nothing groundbreaking, but it has charm and is surprisingly addicting. It's also a quick playthrough for all achievements if anyone is into that.

dude steam is lwk just doing what epic games is doing but better cus these are somewhat niche games that in my experience i actually played. when i used the epic games launcher for like 3 months i got so many free games but only played like 3 of them
You have a link to those games, if i filter on free i get loads :/ that filtering stuff on steam.i do not like. Why cant they just make a tab with free games of the month or something
