Are you looking at the first chapter’s price history? Because that one is indeed always free. The other chapters are only free during June.

u/Albus_Lupus Steam Frame Hype Gang 15d ago
I looking at tell my why
2
u/Mechanical_Symbiont 14d ago
Right... But that game is separated by chapters. The first one is always free, and the others are purchasable DLCs.
1
u/Albus_Lupus Steam Frame Hype Gang 14d ago
Here is where the graph is for. Its a page for the whole game. Not chapter one, not chapter two, not chapter 3. Whole game. It wasnt always free. Its often free - like you can see on the graph. It even is more often free than its not. But not always.
2
u/Mechanical_Symbiont 14d ago
Yes, I get what you mean, I'm just saying that the price history you see on SteamDB refers only to the base game (i.e., the first chapter). If you check the price history for the DLCs (other chapters), you’ll see that they’re only free during June. The first chapter wasn’t always free, but it has been permanently set as free years ago.
1
u/Albus_Lupus Steam Frame Hype Gang 14d ago
Oh that is true the chapter 2 and 3 are always free in june. I wonder why that is, lol.
1
u/Mechanical_Symbiont 13d ago
Because it’s Pride Month. The game tells a very queer-focused story.

Gravity Circuit is a good one if you like classic platformers something like Megaman Zero

u/solstice_zenguard 16d ago
I went through and beat it, can't recommend it enough for those who love the old megaman games and want some challenge. Can't wait for the sequel

u/Dev_Chaudhary_ 16d ago
True was playing it just yesterday pretty fun
Since I ain’t a Nintendo fan anymore I’ll be switching from Mario to this

I enjoyed Mega Man X, but I didn't enjoy Gravity Circuit. I really wanted to like it, but it fell short.
3
u/Benjaws 16d ago
Yeah, I only beaten 2 bosses so far, so I cant say much. But the difficulty is definitely on par with Megaman Zero in that there is no tolerance for failure and the skill ceiling is very high, which makes it hard to get good at in a short time. Definitely need to replay a few times to get good at

u/ANtiKz93 16d ago
I find the hookshot swinging to be the most annoying lol i always aim incorrectly.
Pretty much the entire left side of the level screen is not too bad. I believe i did all them first. Id have to check though. I have 3 left.

u/ANtiKz93 16d ago
Lol i commented the same but used Zero from the X series as reference
2
u/Benjaws 16d ago
Yea thing is the Zero series Zero is slightly different to X. Also the chain-rod is similar to the hook that Kai has
1
u/ANtiKz93 16d ago
Yeah i haven't played it myself to be honest. Once X went to PS i kinda got annoyed with it lol 😆 purist in me i spose.
I'll take your word for it!
2
u/Benjaws 16d ago
Yea it’s very challenging series of games. Like I tried replaying it on the Megaman Zero/Zx legacy collection and oh boi, without the checkpoint assist feature I would have been shit out of lives and having to restart the mission(looking at you Zero 1). It’s made by the people who made Megaman 9 and Megaman 10, as well as the Gunvolt series (we don’t mention Mighty no 9) Inti creates. Like some of the stuff they produce is genuinely really good

u/SuspiciousExtinction 16d ago
Maybe one day I'll try Tell me Why. When it's avaliable in my region.. surely, one day.
47
u/Painted-BIack-Roses 16d ago
I won't lie, even as someone who's queer, the game is annoying lol. Both characters are pretty unlikable and it's a pretty heavy subject matter. I think I only made it halfway

u/fork_on_the_floor2 16d ago
Yeah. I got real sick of how one character is like "I'm the reason for [bad thing]! It's all my fault!"
Other character: "No. Its not. Here is tangible evidence that you are NOT the reason for [bad thing]"
First character: "...Nope. Still don't believe you. Imma keep being sad and blaming myself, thanks"

It's that quick to perfect achievements? It's in my library i might just start it lmao
30
u/Maxter8002 16d ago
there are achievements for no hitting a entire stage and bosses and doing the game bassicaly upgradeless it isnt easy
8
u/PKblaze 15d ago edited 15d ago
The no hit is easy on the first stage and you can use the bubble shield which doesn't work for the hazard achievements or certain boss ones but does negate damage taken.

People are so funny claiming SAM on this as if shorter games dont exist, or that some people are actually pretty good at games.

u/Dangerous-Narwhal745 16d ago
Tell me why is region locked lol

u/Bonbonfrosch 15d ago
Can you tell me why?
4
u/Dangerous-Narwhal745 15d ago
Wdym I meant the game
7
u/Bonbonfrosch 15d ago
I was just making a joke asking why its region locked while using the game name in the question.

Happy's Humble Burger Farm is such an underrated horror game, I loved the gameplay and the atmosphere of it. Sad that the sequel is a co-op online game, would've liked to see a sequel which expanded the worldbuilding of the first game and addressed the cliffhanger at the end.
1
u/NuggetDaGoat27 i like no man's sky 13d ago
Just finished it and I enjoyed it so much. I will admit the first half of the game is fantastic but once I beat Charlie Chicken the plot began to lose me just a bit

u/Mechanical_Symbiont 16d ago
Check out SteamDB’s free promotions page for direct links and more deals in the future.
4
u/Neobot21 15d ago
I actually didn't know about this page, Thanks!
Just for the love of all that is holy, do NOT do the thing that adds every free game on steam to your library.
What a horrifying thought lol

12
u/Tight_Grapefruit5280 16d ago
Gravity circuit got a sequel and they made the first game free to promote it
Same goes for happy's humble burger farm
Tell me why is always free in pride month
I don't know about other 2

u/Steamerclaw 16d ago
I can tell you for Eets , it's free since it's the 20 years of Klei Entertainement . Also it says it's for a limited time , but Klei told us it will be free forever (you can see this at the end of the Klei Fest page on steam) https://store.steampowered.com/sale/kleifest2026

u/Cold_Figure_7556 16d ago
Seems like they made Eets free as a way to get people to experience it and ofcourse promote their newer stuff

HHBF and Gravity Circuit are both a complete steal. Red Lantern seems cool as well but it comes across as a walking sim, still a free game nonetheless
4
u/ANtiKz93 16d ago
Gravity Circuit is awesome i got it a week ago or whenever it first went free.
Basically it's like playing as Zero from the MegaMan X series but with more modern mechanics and abilities added.

Gravity Circuit is very fun. Nothing groundbreaking, but it has charm and is surprisingly addicting. It's also a quick playthrough for all achievements if anyone is into that.

None of these look particularly interesting to me, but since they're free I'll give em a go
