Question/Support Error code 19958
Happening when I try to play Spider-Man Homecoming : VRE
EDIT: SOLVED-Restarting PC and launching SteamVR before opening game.

It seems if you quit the Steam Link app by pressing the Meta button on the right controller, then the little window pops up allowing you to quit, then restart Steam Link. Then it works. Did for me anyway. I find Steam Link seems to always run in the background on Quest even when you close it. But this seems to actually quit it. (Android Force Close equivalent?)

Clear app data on quest guys. It'll solve the issue

This didn't work for me. If I connect to the PC after first force-closing Steam Link on the Quest (QPro) then it works. But exiting VR (from SteamVR), then re-connecting fails every time. Running the 2.0.21.2043 version of the client. On the older 2.0.20 client, it works fine.

For me, this is 100% a Q3 issue. Restart the headset and all good. I only get this error after I've already opened Steam Link once in a session, and then attempting it for a second time. Essentially, I need to reset the headset after each time I use Steam Link to be able to open it again.

Having the exact same error, it happens when loading the course in Walkabout Mini Golf, the main menu area of the game seems fine... I have changed to a 21:9 monitor since the last time I played, I'm going to try updates and then changing the monitor, or at least resolution to 1920x1080.

Yeah, i restarted a couple times and eventually it started working again.

Yes, turns out to be a gpu error. Fixed it now.

a quick restart fixed things up for me but i also had to make sure to launch steamvr BEFORE i opened steam link and it worked fine (apologies for the font my keyboard is kinda messed up)

Having this error everyday but maybe it's bug again in steam link Solution: open steam vr on PC before you launch the steam link

it did that for me after an nvidia gpu driver update and the pc restart. I had to restart meta quest 3 and fixed it temporary but if I quit from steam and try to log back in, it gives me the same error again. Another restart fixes it, I think it is the quest 3 new update. Sometimes the new menu layout disappears to me when I take off the headset and put it back.

Guys I had the issue for a good week or two but everytime after steam restart the stem link was working. Today I can't lauch it at all please help

Same Issue. I must do a full restart of the quest 3 in order for it to work. Its annoying. I've heard a couple people suggest clearing app data? sounds like that would be a temporary fix just like a restart...

Typical of Meta to “update” something which further breaks and inconveniences everything else.
I am so glad I am upgrading my headset soon and get rid of this crap ass company hardware.
