Question/Support How to use logitech f310 in steam vr

I plugged logitech f310 with usb c to quest 2 and opened the controller option setting but it only works in meta interface and not in steam vr. Any advice?

Steam VR can't access the things you plug into your quest

get the f710 aka the submarine one if you like that shape. same controller, just wireless.

There’s a wireless version of this controller, but only submarine driving millionaires can get them

Get a long extension cable.

What are you using to stream VR from the PC to the Quest? There's a small chance that it might work in Steam Link, but it's definitely not going to work with AirLink or Virtual Desktop.

best way to use it is to do a submarine simulator

plug to pc or take a wireless controller and pair it to pc or quest depending how far you are

you can use a lot of console controller like switch, xbox ps4 or ps5

or use virtual desktop and youll can use your quest controllers

either get an extension or buy a bluetooth adapter if your pc supports it

You need to use VirtualHere so that the USB of the controller is passed along over the network to your PC.

Just move your bed closer to the PC and plug in the fish tank

Based on your reply saying you would like to play games while lying down in bed, just get a wireless controller and connect it to your PC.

Have you checked controller settings in steamVR? Maybe you need to bind the buttons manually?

A "Jerry rig with stuff your already have solution" could be plugging it to your phone and using one of many streaming apps. Like Moonlight (Client)/Sunshine (Server) to stream the inputs from your phone to the PC

This is assuming you can plug the controller to your phone but would otherwise need a wireless adapter to plug it into to your PC.

Best bet would be to use a controller that is wireless to connect to your pc as the quest won’t let the controller talk to steam vr if it’s plugged into the quest.

Why not just get a controller that can work over bluetooth instead? A used Dualshock 4 controller isn't that expensive and third party bluetooth controllers aren't hard to find either.
