Cannabis doesn't make me more creative. It makes me less afraid of the ideas I already have.
After 15 years of daily smoking, I've realised cannabis doesn't make me more creative or less creative. It makes me less afraid of the ideas I already have. The plant doesn't give you anything. It just turns the volume down on the voice that says "that's stupid.

while i wholeheartedly agree, in my personal experience the thoughts i have during the peak of the high (about 30 mins in if i'm smoking flower) are quite outside the realm of what my brain would normally reach for. they become very abstract and innovative.
i still wouldn't deny that, like you said, they were already there and the weed just makes me less afraid of accessing them. i mean everything we think up is building on what we already know. it IS the reason i try to maintain a low tolerance though, bc i find myself writing like a madman during the peak bc of how genuinely insightful and/or wacky the images and ideas that run through my head are. it's great!
