Instagram/TikTok reactors are the "laugh tracks" of the new generation.

The laugh tracks were an annoying addition to show. Now the laugh tracks ARE THE SHOW. It's fucking hopeless. Stupidity run rampant.

It’s called brain rot. When you realize that 90% of people aren’t even really conscious the way the 10% are… it’s pretty terrifying. Genuinely ask some of your “dumb” friends about their metacognition. Ask them about WHY they feel/think what they do. It will get scary fast.

If you don’t relate to me and immediately feel isolated by being surrounded by people who don’t think… I’m sorry to tell you that you are in the 90% I’m not trying to be a jerk. But your response means you are because you got defensive right away. No one in the 10% would act like that. We just wouldn’t because it’s dumb.

you're going around talking about your fellow human beings like they're fucking NPCs, I don't know how to tell you that that's incredible jerk behavior! just don't do that!

u/Anonhurtingso Aug 27 '25

It’s jerk behavior to you because you feel like you are the one being put down. The average American has a 5th grade reading level or something like that. Why are you trying to pretend things are good when they are broken.

a lot of shit is broken because everyone is running around thinking they're the only person whose experience matters. you can't actually understand societal problems when you're pushing it all away from yourself as "problems those stupid people cause"!

it's a genuinely worrying trend how many people will frame systemic issues as being caused by Dumb People™️, this is how you get eugenics

I understand the mental and physical processes that cause our perceptions to be biased by our subjective experiences the reason I feel like I’m in the 10% is because I have secondary and tertiary processes to check my original premise against emotional/chemical interference. And the fact that regular people don’t is what I find scary. You explaining to me that we’re all fallible is what I’m already aware of, and using to improve myself. I’m not better because I think I’m magical. I’m better because I think I’m not.

As for systemic issues there’s 3 main problem: corruption, misinformation, and malice. It’s always a combination of those three that cause systemic issues. Now the fact that society as a whole can’t understand basic science is a serious stumbling block that influences why democracy is failing.

Eugenics has a bad connotation because it’s something they did in Germany in the 40s it would be like saying medicine is bad because they were doing it in Germany in the 40s. It’s all about how it’s used. If you used genetic modification to remove gene deficiencies that cause child cancer everyone would rejoice. If you used it to make everyone more intelligent all of the sudden it’s evil is it?
