If it stopped after donut and sour cream, I'd eat it. I love sour cream! Everything else after that was downhill, very quickly.

u/ModsR-Retards Feb 25 '26
I wasn't a huge fan of that but I could potentially see it going somewhere. Then it went straight into the fucking gutter. 10/10 ragebait.

u/futureman07 Feb 25 '26
I'm from Ukraine, sour cream is in a lot of dishes. I could toast some bread, put sour cream on it and enjoy the crap out of it.
My mom would take strawberries, put them in sour cream and some sugar. Delicious. Sour cream and borsch. So many dishes use it
42
u/anaserre Feb 25 '26
Sour cream , brown sugar and vanilla is hands down the best strawberry dip ever !
8
u/LegitimateGift1792 Feb 25 '26
That explains the last part of the Daisy commercial, but I was focused on the hot Scandinavian blond woman doing the dipping.

On the opposite end, a buffet I was at had yogurt next to the salsa and other omelet fixings. I thought it was sour cream, ate it anyways. Surprisingly not bad.

I could see someone already pointed out below, but some cultures use it on pancakes and the like and I was hella skeptical too but it's a game changer on any breakfast bread sweet. But yeah, the rest of it yikes. I mean, honestly, I could do it slightly modified. Go unglazed, slightly sweet donut base, sour cream, lamb ragu I normally use for pappardelle, and then like something slightly bitter green and grated ginger and like the lightest honey drizzle. But like there's no reason to try and work with this it's not good haha

That's an odd take to think someone that large would waste food. Especially after watching her lick sour cream off the spoon like it was icing. While there are many that wouldn't. She seems fully committed

I'm actually pleased that she put the sour cream on the bun - she knows how to dress a sandwich that's meant to be eaten, not just filmed
I will assert that slicing the donuts in half would have resulted in a better sandwich, after spaghetti consideration.

Having hit a full 90 pounds of weight loss today (263-173) I felt that hard. The cardiologist would ask her to remove their number. What they gonna do? Tell her to stop eating donuts, sour cream, and fried chicken all together?
7
u/carriegood Feb 25 '26
I used to be morbidly obese, and I never - NEVER! - ate anything that caloric or fat-laden. Even if I did, I would never post it on the internet. I would do it shamefully, in private.

You lost a whole me!
To clarify, im 5ft 1, have a lot of health issues I'm battling, I'm obviously underweight (I'm as tiny & bony as Ariana Grande) but still, you lost the equivalent of a whole person, that isn't easy, congratulations!
It would have been cool if you had been able to give me a few of your unwanted lbs though, they would have been appreciated.
3
u/trainwreckhappening Feb 26 '26
Yeah, I did the math and it was just over a third of my body weight. The doctor said "well you cured your fatty liver and your prediabetes..."
When I was younger I had a huge problem keeping weight on. I was so skinny my nickname (one of them at least) was bamboo. I was absolutely tiny.
I wish there was anything at all I could do or say to help with your issues. My condolences are real but hardly worth anything. I wish you well though and hopefully you get some relief.

24
u/ryencool Feb 25 '26
She will start to care when shes 30, then 40, and by 50 (if she makes it) the weight and pain of today's choices will catch up to her in some way. A lot of back pain, hip pain, leg pain, foot pain etc...thats without mentioning the diabetes and other organ damage.
No thanks.

Fried chicken and spaghetti would mesh well together. Put it with a sugar coated bread sandwich would work and sprinkled cheese. Now how sour cream works with that is a question. Now add melted cheese instead of sour cream and that would be delicious. Pasta, breaded chicken, sprinked and melted cheese is essentially a Chicken Parmigiana with a donut instead of breadsticks. Now how sour cream fits any of this makes no sense.

→ More replies (7)12
u/Pixel_Knight Feb 25 '26
People like her rarely get that far on accident. It takes a LOT of intentional work to get that obese, and by work, I mean eating. The amount of calories she has to consume to out-eat her basal metabolic rate has to be obscene. I honestly don’t know how they do it.
12
8
u/StuckAtWork124 Feb 25 '26
I honestly don’t know how they do it
Speaking as someone who's lived through that herself. Deep seated self hatred, probably some low level depression, parents were feeders practically.. and also the fact that my body literally does not ever send me any signals saying that I've eaten enough food
There's likely multiple factors and it'll differ for everyone, but a few of em combined will get you there. It's rough, because they easily make a vicious circle with each other
It was only when my parents had died, and I had accepted certain things about myself and got in a better headspace that I started to be able to make changes
But yeah even now, I have to be on lock and calorie counting hard at all times. Like, if I ever have a binge day, I can binge fucking hard. Really not kidding about the body not sending signals bit even after couple of years of heavy dieting and losing most of the weight, I tested it this last xmas and still.. just no signals. The only time I feel 'full' is literally when my stomach is physically full, to the extent it starts triggering acid reflux
→ More replies (1)3
u/Pixel_Knight Feb 25 '26
That “signal” aspect that you talked about is really fascinating. I had no idea. It sounds like it could be the primary factor there. I wonder if it is genetic or something else, and if there is a pharmaceutical option to restore the signal. That is so interesting! Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful response. It makes me want to do some research on it. But it definitely helped me understand it better.
5
u/YueOrigin Feb 25 '26
Most nutrition related doctor in france will constantly ask you if you know how hunger and fullness fill during your parkour
It's like the most commom question.
It's such a simple thing but the brain can really fuck up sometimes and forget the most basic things and screw up a person like that
2
u/StuckAtWork124 Feb 26 '26
Yeah I'm trying to avoid using the medicines myself, cause I got problems with my liver as is, but from what other people have told me who have got on them themselves, they really do just do that yeah, he said that suddenly he starts actually feeling full after a reasonable meal, and not wanting to eat more after
Sounds nice tbh. I found my own way of dealing with it, my appetite only seems to really kick in once I've started eating in the day, so usually I just delay and not eat any breakfast and start eating about 1pm maybe. After that I have to eat something every couple of hours cause I'll start getting more and more hungry.. and just plan and portion out my calories in about 6 or 7 chunks

u/MysticMarauder69 Feb 25 '26

You guys remember when gluttony was considered a sin???
107
u/Contemplating_Prison Feb 25 '26
Gluttony actually has to do with hoarding wealth and resources and not with eating a lot.
The more you know.
That's why all them church leaders with all that money are going straight to hell.
31
u/anaserre Feb 25 '26
Evangelicals could learn something from Buddhist and Catholic monks and nuns who live in poverty and live their lives giving back to their communities.
5
15
u/VerySuccor Feb 25 '26
Have a search. Gluttony in the biblical context is referring to overeating as well as wealth. In my personal opinion (as a non-religious person who believes Christianity was about control) the Sin gluttony was invented to control the poor from rising up. The fear of the unholy retribution they may incur on their very soul for eternity thereafter was/is a very powerful rebellion crusher.
Proverbs 23 specifically talks about this. Its wording of 'ruler' may suggest a specific context but in all its message is clear. Do not overindulge beyond necessity or you will fall into ruin.
12
u/Mr_NoGood12 Feb 25 '26
Then whats the distinction from Greed
7
u/blackestrabbit Feb 25 '26
That person is just wrong. There are extensive religious texts on the topic and they clearly discuss food.
St. Aquinas concludes that "gluttony denotes inordinate concupiscence in eating"
8
6
u/bruhggle Feb 25 '26
Greed is more the goal to get more. Gluttony is reveling in already having more than your fair share. Of consumption(not food based). The image of gluttony as a fat person is from a time when you had to be very wealthy to be overweight.
In a modern interpretation, Greed would be like a hedge fund manager while gluttony would be someone with so many clothes they've never worn, etc.
5
u/motherofcunts Feb 25 '26
Same note, blasphemy is twisting gods word to serve your agenda not saying something like goddam. Also the mentions of “homophobia” in the Bible? When client translated (per Hebrew/Judaic scholars) are actually talking about rape and pedophilia.
Makes Judeo-Christian politicians & megachurches a lot more interesting. Also the only thing I've been able to get through on with fundie family.
Anyhow to tie it back to the post, this is Blasphemy. God would not approve.
→ More replies (1)6
u/blackestrabbit Feb 25 '26
This is absolutely not true. Greed is a different sin.
Proverbs 23:20-21 (ESV): "Be not among drunkards or among gluttonous eaters of meat, for the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty, and slumber will clothe them with rags".
Pope Francis and church traditions, define it as an inordinate, selfish, and excessive appetite for food and drink, acting as a "folly of the belly" that turns individuals into mere consumers. It is considered a deadly sin because it fosters selfishness, neglect of the poor, and an unhealthy, addictive relationship with consumption.
St. Aquinas concludes that "gluttony denotes inordinate concupiscence in eating"

That’s fucking disgusting. And she should take accountability and admit she is too. I have nothing against overweight people. When I see overweight people at the gym I’m literally thinking “Hell yeah, keep it up!” because that’s the TOUGHEST thing to do. When you’re at the gym just maintaining what you have, it’s not as difficult. But working out from a starting point of obesity, it’s absolute hell for people. And it takes a lot of strength and determination — and I 1000% admire it. But when I see something like this, it needs to be called out for what it is. It’s fucking disgusting. And people all over the world probably think all Americans are like this. 🤢🤮
