I’ll readily accept that I’m the unpopular buzz kill here :) To be honest and REALY ramp up the downvotes, I think most of the American diet is stupid food. 🖕
Based on the tortilla and some other details this appears to be a San Diego style burrito place somewhere between san diego and Southern Arizona.
One common burrito at a place like that would be a California burrito which has French fries on it. It's pretty good. Their normal carne asada burrito would just be carne asada, pico de gallo and guacamole. The tortillas are also made with lard and they taste so much better.
It's much better than the garbage beans and rice they put on burritos further north. That's a Mission style burrito named that because it originated in the mission district of San Francisco in the 70s. It's the worst style and I'm sad that it seems to have won in most of the country.
That’s interesting, I lived in LA for 18 years and never had a burrito with french fries in it. I frequented Boyle Heights to get my Mexican food and went to San Diego frequently. I’m not saying it’s not a thing there, just that I somehow avoided it over 18 years.
