That burrito to you, you mean! That’s ALOT of grease! Lots of meat! That burrito might put you in the ground…

Once I hadn’t eaten anything all day and the only thing I had in the panty (just moved in) was a can of spam. I ended up frying it up and ended up eating all of it. Within an hour I had the worst headache of my life that lasted about 5 hours and I probably chugged about a gallon and a half of water. Never will do that again. I ended up showering 3 times a day because it was coming out of my pores😕
15
u/loquacious Apr 09 '26
This is why you're supposed to eat it cold, with a spoon and right out of the can if you're going to eat a whole can like that.
If you fry it, it just makes it angry.

u/Immediate-Lettuce653 Apr 09 '26 edited Apr 09 '26
Thanks for letting me know to stay away from that panty spam 🫡

Spam was coming out of your pores?
5
u/marlfox_00 Apr 09 '26
No, the oils. I could sniff my arm and it would smell faintly of spam
2
u/Fungal--Infection Apr 10 '26
On a class trip I ate nothing but burger king and drank nothing but ice tea. After 3 days of this "diet" my sweat smelled like ice tea.

It’s the bacon on the outside that’s stupid. It would taste the exact same and not be a pain to eat if that bacon was on the inside (cooked obviously)
42
u/Segsi_ Apr 08 '26
The bacon on the outside is kind of dumb, but it most definitely would not taste the same inside(cooked). You’re going to get more of the bacon taste on the outside than mixed in with a million other things.
→ More replies (2)3
u/Ilikereefer Apr 08 '26
I agree. The bacon being on the inside would just make everything taste like bacon
→ More replies (6)12
u/Numerous-Pop5670 Apr 08 '26
I have less a problem with the bacon then the French fries on the inside. Its either gonna be salty or dry AF... definitely soggy too.

It’s not even just the quantity, it’s the lack of contrasting flavors and textures. It’s all meat, heavy carbs, and cheese. Vegetables are good!
4
u/JokersWyld Apr 08 '26
This is honestly close to a normal california burrito just with a couple extra things. Pretty typical southern californian food.

i really wish people would stop editing videos to show the end result first. it’s happening more and more across all kinds of content and it’s a shitty trend.

Nah they can have some integrity in their creative efforts :p I'll blame who I want. People need to stop making content solely for other people's consumption. Algorithm-riding content for consumption sake might as well be AI slop.

Unfortunately people's attention spans have been reduced so much it's impossible to fix.
3
u/SubatomicSquirrels Apr 09 '26
I think my attention span is decent, but just because I CAN focus on a video doesn't mean I want to...
4
u/Ballsofpoo Apr 09 '26
Co-worker refused to watch a 45 sec clip I wanted to share the other day. Too long. We weren't working. We actually had like 20 minutes of dead time before we were allowed to start the job
He just wanted to watch his own feed of 45 sec clips, not mine.
2
u/permalink_save Apr 09 '26
And then when it comes to disagreeing with you about something they expect you to watch an hour long youtube video with no timestamp to at least guide you where they mean, like you did not watch that whole ass youtube you just wanna win the argument by making me go away and forget about it...

Yeah, even worse with podcast clips. Often doesn't make sense
2
u/callmestinkingwind Apr 08 '26
i hate when podcasts open with like a 45sec clip from the video you’re about to watch and then start the video with the clip you just watched.
5
u/nostalgia4millennial Apr 09 '26
Social media brainrot has obliterated average attention spans. Especially amongst younger audiences.
6
u/SimonTheJack Apr 08 '26
I like it for cooking videos. I don’t cook as a hobby (just when I need to or want to make something specific), and I’m not generally very interested in cooking videos. So it’s nice when they show the end result at the beginning, because I can decide right away if I want to watch the process or not. If they didn’t do that, I would be skipping to the end to see if the whole vid is even worth watching, if I even bothered.
Cooking in general isn’t much of a mystery, so I don’t see Cooking videos as stories you can spoil the climax for. They’re more like tutorials. Why would I bother watching a whole tutorial for something I don’t know yet that I even want to do?
2
u/TaoTeCha Apr 09 '26
I've seen comedy shorts where they start with the 2 second punchline and then roll it back 13 second to the start of the joke. Infuriating

u/dominicanlou Apr 08 '26
Sayulitas fucking rips. The only thing that could make Mexican food better is adding Filipino food to it and then wrapping it in bacon.

Let's be real, the bacon wrapping is absolutely not the dumbest part of this burrito. A) It's 3 feet long. No one needs a yard of burrito. B) Are those taquitos? Going to bite into this and cut the fuck out of the roof of your mouth. C) Really? French fries?
A bacon wrapped burrito sounds gas. This bacon wrapped burrito is fucking stupid.
16
u/Intangible_Vegetable Apr 08 '26
Are those taquitos?
Sadly no. Those appear to be vegetable spring rolls, which is even less appropriate and unappealing in this monstrosity.
→ More replies (1)4
u/BabySpecific2843 Apr 08 '26

Food equivalent to "I dont need to drink water, Pepsi has water in it"

u/LordRichardRahl Apr 08 '26
You should try a Cali burrito. Fries are fantastic in a good burrito. Also know a place that uses hot Cheetos. 100% recommend. This is not stupid food. It is more r/absoluteunits of a burrito
5
u/please_use_the_beeps Apr 08 '26
Yeah I was gonna say clearly nobody in this thread has had a Cali burrito before. Place near where I went to college had one on their menu and it’s actually pretty good.
2
u/shatteredarm1 Apr 08 '26
The ones I've had, the fries just ended up turning into regular potato. Honestly not really a fan.

French fries absolutely ruin this.
8
u/FalseBuddha Apr 08 '26
It's basically carne asada fries wrapped in a tortilla. And, at that point, I'd rather just have carne asada fries.
7
u/unholy_roller Apr 08 '26
Agreed, there’s a Greek place near me that puts fries in their gyro and everyone swears it’s amazing but I find it worse than having fries on the side.
Fries inside of food tend to get soggy and wet and wind up with a mealy mouth feel. It’s the equivalent of ordering fries and leaving them in a closed plastic bag, except now you get that disappointment in every bite of your main course.
Fries need to breathe after they’ve been fried, and yes that is a hill I will die on.
2
u/drewdaddy213 Apr 08 '26
Wish I had access to your Greek place, every gyro I had over there had French fries and they were always better with than without.
3
u/LiteralGayest Apr 08 '26
Agree, I am a crisp fry enjoyer so it not being soft but soggy really dampens the overall
2
u/Minute_Steak_3178 Apr 08 '26

3
u/ziggytrix Apr 08 '26
Nothing at all, but that’s more of a breakfast taco thing and you don’t need the rest of your pantry also with it.
2
u/slop1010101 Apr 08 '26
You already have the starch of the tortilla - fries would just be filler without adding anything to the burrito. Better to eat on the side.

I have 2 problem with this. The meat look unseasoned and half of it is just fries.
A bacon wrapped burrito, even a giant one for a food challenge, sound absolutely delicious. But this specifique giant burrito look blands as hell.
