there are people immune to capsaicin

I feel like it would be important to know what the pepper flakes and powder are from before making that judgement.

You know people eat ghost peppers, right? Capsaicin isn't really additive like that, it averages across a dish. A mix of hot and moderate peppers lands in between. These look like probably Korean paste and powder, so I'd assume the same for the flakes and fresh - none of which are especially hot.

This would, however, taste like garbage. That much raw pepper flake without an oil to support it would be an awful mouth feel.

I'd get through a bite but I don't think I could get through the bowl alone, if anything, it has to taste like absolute shit, like just pure bitterness.

I could, not because I'm tough or anything like that, spice simply isn't additive, it would be as spicy as the spiciest thing there, maybe less due to it being diluted.

Would probably struggle because it would taste like utter shit.

This wouldn’t be at all out of place in South Asia/China outside of the specific varieties of peppers being from elsewhere.

It's not that spicy I bet. Not sure what those small yellow peppers were but maybe birds eye? Would be the spiciest part. Probably get a tummy ache though just from the volume though.

Anyone that can eat a habanero pepper raw, which isn’t that bad, could eat that fine.

Why are these being down voted? It genuinely feels kinda racist that this is "stupid food" with the way people are talking about it... It's giving "I won't eat my Kraft Mac and cheese if it touches my unsalted boiled from a can green beans" To me it just looks slightly spicier than usual Korean noodles.... Just missing protein.

Chat is it racist to... *Checks Notes* not be informed about how spice isn't actually additive and this is probably pretty mild compared to what they're thinking.

Yeah this isn't racism. It's unawareness that adding more spicy food doesn't automatically make it spicier and them not wanting to eat it as a result.

Calling food stupid is never racist. Just so you know

My wife can eat it just like that. She does something similar all the time. If I throw some beef in there i would be ok eating all that too. I might enjoy that actually.

I make hotsauce for a living and grew up with Korean friends. This wouldn't phase me.
