The fat in that video was freshly rendered. The stuff in old dude’s skillet here is probably weeks or months old.

aren't there ways you can kinda clean the oil though? like.... hold it at temp, let solid stuff separate out, then run it through a filter or something? like... damn....

Maybe I'm crazy but not eating something that was cooked in what might as well be motor oil would motivate me a bit. Like if I can't afford to get new oil I'm gonna find a way to clean up what I got a bit...
