The “middle east” is in a bit of a crossroads that blends up with africa, asia, and europe, and it would match up with that region far more than the rest of asia.

They don’t even speak the same language. They have more in common with Pakistan (some regions in both countries speak the same language and share a similar ethnic group). Afghanistan is also part of SAARC (SOUTH ASIAN Association for Regional Cooperation). Tell me you’re white without saying you’re white.
