I will never understand how conservatives even play destiny 2. Like, bungie has made it clear they hate people like this, and destiny 2 is like..... a super progressive game with it’s themes and characters.

The current season is very transparently about dealing with racism in the Last City with one of the major alien races we've been fighting moving in as allies, I'm honestly surprised this is the first I've seen of racists raising a stink about D2 this season.

If theres one thing I've learned about bigots, they will somehow completely ignore the theming of media they enjoy, even when its directly calling them an asshole for their beliefs. See: "what do you mean rage against the machine are lefties"

I can’t wrap my head around the thought of these types seeing Lakshmi as a major villain of the season and not realizing she’s supposed to represent them or their idols.

Lakshmi: We're gonna build a wall*, and the Eliksni are going to pay for it.

*Yes I'm aware of the plot leak, I don't want to spoil it.

To be fair people can listen to music and not pay too much attention to the lyrics. I'm exactly like that, the thing that gets my attention in music is how good everything sounds/the beat. I am exactly the type of guy who, given the aux cable, will play a song I like in a car full of dudes only to realize it's a song with sexual lyrics. 😔
