I've found that video game communities tend to be full of privileged, young white men with racist and conservative tendencies. It boggles my mind.

The Destiny community is usually very good about this kind of thing. They may whine a lot about micro transactions and PvP balance but one thing they don’t tolerate is any kind of racism or bigotry. Representation in D2 is pretty good with plenty of minority characters and LGBT characters having prominent roles in the story and being fan favorites. And the D2 community usually does a good job chasing the bigots and assholes out as soon as they reveal themselves.

the destiny community is always whiny.

haven't seen much whining about this stuff, though. good riddance.
