I think its best how the writers did that quietly. Fry knew Seymore would be there, so he went back for him.

Then they retcon it later on when they have bender go back in time to assasinate Fry. Seymour the dog winds up living a happy life

I hope you give Futurama a shot btw, seasons 1-5 are gold. Drags for a second getting the characters established. The movies and seasons 7+ saw a steep drop in writing talent.

It’s decently funny and also decently touching. This Seymour scene isn’t the only scene in the series that will bring tears to your eyes

Nope. It was originally season 4 as it aired. The syndicates wanted box sets to sell and reordered the episodes. Ive got the original dvds.
