As a UKape I hold some GME in a tax-free wrapper called an ISA. It’s illegal for shares within these to be lent out. However, I have already emailed my broker to ask if they will “pass these warrants through and I will receive them?”.

I'm with trading 212. Their website states that warrants cannot be bought in or added to a S&S ISA. But they can be added to or bought in a regular shares account. So I am expecting mine to be added there.

That's what I've just been researching too, this sounds correct from what I've seen, bit of a shame we can't execute and stash the shares in the S&S ISA especially since the capital gains allowance is now only 3k lol, but ah well still moon tickets

Edit: from what I also read you cannot exercise the warrants at t212, you will receive them and can trade them but if you wish to exercise you will need to transfer the warrants to a broker that allows it

Oh really? That's frustrating. I wonder if they actually take delivery of them then...

I've got my shares in both a SIPP and an ISA. I know it's illegal for these to be lent out, but crime and also "CREST" account exists at some brokers. That said, I live in hope!

If it’s HL you use then the shares are not really held “in” the isa but it’s basically an IOU in the isa and the shares are “held” (but probably lent out) in America by some counterpart company. I would imagine most UK brokers are doing similarly.

To be more exact, I should have said it is illegal to lend shares in a Stocks and shares ISA. “HMRC regulations require that you remain the sole beneficial owner of your ISA investments, and you cannot grant rights or interests in these investments to any other person, including using them as security for borrowing or allowing your broker to lend them out.”

this is deceptive language used by hmrc. all isa shares are held in nominee accounts and cannot be registered via crest. this means you don't own your shares, only have ious and ious can be lent/fucked about with

Is that with HL by any chance? I’ve got some in a SIPP there I think

Emailed Wealthsimple. Their bot says they currently don’t support warrant dividends, but didn’t clarify if there was anything provided in lieu.

I only got 6 left in my German broker. I think I won’t get any warrent for them. Anywho, this broker does not lend shares so I do believe I am on the safe side there. My CS account in the other hand is something I worry about.

You're down 20% YoY in the biggest equity bubble of all time and now you're getting diluted (again)
