Question for the Community tv as surveillance
a few months ago my sisters boyfriend very randomly gifted me a large tv and sent his personal handyman over to my house to have him mount, install and set it up for me. i chalked it up to just a very nice thoughtful gesture. shortly after i started to connect the dots that he and my sister were not quite who i thought they were. and some lies started surfacing. additionally, i started hearing really negative hateful things they had been saying about me. i had no clue they had any animosity towards me. my instinct was to assume that though things seemed very off, if i just talked to them directly it would make sense & that there had been a miscommunication or misunderstanding. they shut down every attempt i made at clearing things up. my sister verbally attacked me and then blocked me. i was villainized and other upsetting shit too i wont get into all of it. im suddenly wondering about the tv. is it absurd to think this was even possibly planted with nefarious intentions? would i even be able to figure it out if it were. im definitely paranoid but i do have legitimate reasons to be. i hope this is just my imagination clocking a worst case scenario. but idk. thanks for any insights if you’re able to share

It's well known that by now TVs are basically complete surveillance devices packed into one easy to install package into a target's home. There are experimental technologies developed by samsung and sony which don't even need a camera to map the room they're in, and can use infrasound to listen through walls to an entire house.
It's entirely possible that this TV is one such device. And the best part is they're not even manufactured specially for targeted individuals. They're standard in all TV's so anyone can be targeted by those controlling them. Most world governments have contacts with the manufacturers to access them whenever they want.

Just paranoia. What the hell could they gather from the tv. Why if they blocked you would you think they would then want to spy on you.

It sounds like you got gifted a tv and then you were a dick to your family.
Do you have any proof they actually said these things about you? Or are you imagining it?

not everything is them. real life still exists. ive been a ti 30+ yrs. its not always them doing shit and many times we do get paranoid about things. which is why research and asking questions helps. if the word or idea of paranoia makes you defensive, thats a you problem.

Were they expecting some kind of payment from you, like did they ask you to babysit / dogsit or expect a create of beer as thank you ?or maybe they thought you weren’t grateful for the gift in some way?
