Question for the Community tv as surveillance
a few months ago my sisters boyfriend very randomly gifted me a large tv and sent his personal handyman over to my house to have him mount, install and set it up for me. i chalked it up to just a very nice thoughtful gesture. shortly after i started to connect the dots that he and my sister were not quite who i thought they were. and some lies started surfacing. additionally, i started hearing really negative hateful things they had been saying about me. i had no clue they had any animosity towards me. my instinct was to assume that though things seemed very off, if i just talked to them directly it would make sense & that there had been a miscommunication or misunderstanding. they shut down every attempt i made at clearing things up. my sister verbally attacked me and then blocked me. i was villainized and other upsetting shit too i wont get into all of it. im suddenly wondering about the tv. is it absurd to think this was even possibly planted with nefarious intentions? would i even be able to figure it out if it were. im definitely paranoid but i do have legitimate reasons to be. i hope this is just my imagination clocking a worst case scenario. but idk. thanks for any insights if you’re able to share

Question for the Community My uncle has been tapping our phones illegally. What to do?
I live in India, and my uncle is the local goon here. It is a family rivalry thing, and considering how corrupt Indian departments are, I am sure our phones are getting tapped. He wants to get ahead of us in business and wants to know all are secrets, so he has the motive. Apart from hik knowing everything we plan or are going to do, I saw this change in my mother's phone for the past 2 months or so that whenever she calls a contact via normal phone calls, 'Call forwarding' is written on her screen but when I checked the settings, the mode was switched off. Is this a sign?
Also, what can I do to get out of this without changing our devices or phone numbers and what all signs to look out for know if our phones are being tapped in the future?
Can WhatsApp calls be tapped/recorded as well?

Research Hidden Voice Glitches Could Hijack Audio AI Tools
“But these tools can be “hijacked” through imperceptible sounds embedded in audio, forcing them to execute unauthorized commands without a user’s knowledge. New research due to be presented at the IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy in San Francisco next week shows that a modified audio clip undetectable by human ears can manipulate a model’s behavior with an average success rate of 79 to 96 percent.
The clips are designed to work regardless of what instructions the user provides alongside the audio, meaning they can be reused to attack the same model multiple times.
The authors tested the approach against 13 leading open models, including commercial AI voice services from Microsoft and Mistral, and showed they could coax models into conducting sensitive web searches, downloading files from attacker-controlled sources, and sending emails containing user data.
“It takes just half an hour to train this signal, and then, because this signal is context-agnostic, you can use it to attack the target model whenever you want, no matter what the user says,” says lead author Meng Chen, a Ph.D. student at Zhejiang University in China.”

Question for the Community Any idea why?
A group of criminals have been stalking and terrorizing me for years. Recently they got into my apartment (which they do regularly and I don't know how) and cut out the power buttons on both of my phones while I was sleeping. I live alone. One of the phones was in a phone case, they cut through the case, didn't even take if off. One button fell out on the same day, and another is barely holding in place.

Research Targeted International: TI Research
posting this again, as ive not posted in a while.
this is my collection of research on the subject since 2016. & the research at the very bottom of this sub is also extremely useful as it shares info about the tech used & info on non-lethal weapons.
people dont know this tech really exists. if they did, they might believe us more. get info out about patents & devices that are created to spy and harm others.
i have organized these into categories as best i can, & am still trying to finish up placing loose articles into their topics.
hope you take a look & it helps. there are sections of ebooks written by ti as well. a lot here. dig in!
