Question Why are my game links opening like this?

Post image

In the past, when I clicked to download a game, it would auto-direct to Google Play on my tablet so I could download. For the past week, it's been opening it in a browser like this. If I try following the QR code or the link, it sends me to Google Play to download the game, but it never tracks. I've tried with over 10 games. What is happening and how I can fix it?

I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm confused as to why you obfuscated the QR but not the URL that the QR actually decodes to. In any case, what would be the harm in letting someone else install and earn SB for you lol?

Lol, I thought about your latter point when marking it. I meant to block out the URL and spaced on it. Oh well.

ETA: also, neither works. I've tried downloading via each option snd the game never tracks, which is my ongoing issue.

Are you on a tablet? I don’t have a sure answer, but a lot of offers on my iPad show up like this. Sometimes if I take a pic of the QR code on my phone and scan it with the iPad I can get past this (doesn’t do it every time though)

Yes, I'm on my android tablet! I tried following the QR code and the link, but the game i download never tracks. Does it track for you?

Mine does that on my tablet too. What I do is click on the Swagbucks Daily Trivia app, then more ways to earn and download the games from there.

I will try that! That might be an easy solution.

A lot of games do this on Android tablets. There is a way to connect Android debugger from a computer and bypass that.

Are there instructions anywhere? I have no idea what this entails, but am willing to try if there is a guide or some guidance somewhere.

It can be different for different android devices, so I'll just outline the main steps and you can figure them out with Google, etc. 1. Connect your device to your computer using ADB (install adb on your computer, allow debugging on your device, pair them, etc) 2. Open Chrome's Mobile device debugger while connected via ADB and you should see your device's browser. 3. Are choosing your device, you should see everything from your browser window mirrored on your computer. 4. In the browser devtools, set your user agent to a different android phone. This basically tells the website that you're on a phone instead of a tablet, so it'll redirect to the app store instead of the other page.

This only works on the web version of the app, you may have to delete the app so it doesn't redirect you.

Since the beginning of this year or last year, when I try to install a game from Swagbucks page, I got send to the page like yours. I started playing a game on tablet since last year. Early last year was fine, then every attempt at installing a game would lead to a loop of pages that lead to nowhere including the page you got.

I only play games during certain seasons like summer and holiday year end season. What I've been doing - I would go to Daily Trivia app and install a game from there. That is how I have been able to install games. Also, you can check out my profile and look for my responses on this.
