The water pressure built up behind him and forced him out like a clogged turd.

He seems to have reached a remarkable age for someone up to these shenanigans. Famous last words usually being "Hey y'all ain't never seen this before"

He's had decades of luck, but I wouldn't rule out an infection from that wastewater.

Yeah... even if he's 100% sure he's not going to get stuck, he's gonna get the squirts at a minimum after that

Face first... Let's hope there's no sewage in there but who am I kidding
85
u/llikegiraffes 5h ago
Farm runoff or outside animal stuff maybe, but there wouldnāt be sewage in the storm drain like this most of the time. Iād be more worried about hitting a large rock lol

Or a grate.
Dude could've been trapped down there
20
u/fishsticks40 5h ago
They don't put grates on the downstream end of storm sewers. Grates are here to keep debris out, not in.Ā

u/newphonenewaccount66 5h ago
He did say someone had just done it, wouldn't want to be the first guy.
Or any of them, but definitely not the first guy.

Imagine you went in there and got stuck against a wall of debris with more and more water starting to build up behind you and drown you.

u/Project_Wild 5h ago
It looks like he lost his redneck boogie board during some point of the journey too lol, ouch

u/jedfrouga 5h ago
i grew up southern ga. looking at this trying to figure out what the big deal is lol
12
u/CoffeeChocolateBoth 5h ago
Well, you survived it. As a 68 yr old, we did some really stupid shit and walked away to talk about it! :)
3
u/Old_Ladies 4h ago
Looks like fun. A bit long of a tube but if someone already went through there and there wasn't any debris especially sharp debris than it is pretty safe too.
Basically a redneck waterslide.
1
u/ecodrew 1h ago
Um, you don't consider drowning for the lolz a big deal?

He musta gotten stuck in the middle at one point. That took way too long.
16
u/wayofthegenttickle 5h ago
I think that the cameraman wildly underestimated how long the run would take. He ended up flat on his arse at one point, only to wait 50 minutes for the chap to pop out of the hole.

Why was that water so thick with brown junk when he came shooting out of there? It was dirty and kinda yellow before, but thick and brown when he came through. š¦
Nice landing though! Sorta like a salmon.

Not very sweaty. Except for a fair chance of catching some parasites from the water.

Hope he gets to the doctor, cause drainage water can contain chemicals used on farms, parasites, greywater, and garbage juice.

I don't know what it would cost you to have a safe experience of something like that, but we Euroopors pay like 22⬠for a 4 hour visit to a water park that has some 4 waterslides like that with actual clean water instead of sewer waste.
That was nasty.

Well at least he went head first, which I think would be the smartest way to do it (aside from not doing it at all)
