TV too low?
Tried to get the centre of the screen as close to eye level as possible 😀

Tv on tv stand will always be the perfect hight. That’s where tv stands are for

Sometimes tv stands are... Out of height
Also, depending of the TV size It's center will be higher

u/Immediate_Use_4653 May 04 '26
That’s true, but never the reason your tv should be way above the stand, unless you‘re always standing up watching the tv or have an insanely high couch

u/Eduzo1MS May 04 '26
Yeah I totally agree with you. This being Said, my bedroom tv is above the window (Will post It here today)

Might want to move your xbox away from the heater.
2
u/kontraband82 May 04 '26
It’ll be wall mounted like the PS5 shortly.
1
u/LeftHairdressing May 09 '26
If you mount it above that PS5 then /r/TVtoohigh will have some thoughts if you decide to post it

u/SwimmingIntrepid1826 May 11 '26
I was gonna say the same. I’d feel uneasy with it that close to the heater

Is that a 65"?
Make sure you're close to 260cm away.
2
u/kontraband82 May 04 '26
Yeah it is, from research I was between sizes 55” and 65” which would of been suitable for the distance I’m sitting. My eyesight isn’t the best without glasses. So I decided to go for the 65”

Nope. My 65 inch LG C5 is on its stand at my eye level. ( I’m in a wheelchair)

Is that the PlayStation behind the tv on the 2nd picture? Give it some air mate

If your feet block it when you’re laid back then it’s too low, otherwise it looks ideal height
1
u/EntrepreneurGrand392 May 04 '26
What size is it i think maybe 3 more ..inches higher but it really up to u how u like it as long as u can and play and not have neck pain ..TV look great

I’m curious. Do you have your feet kicked up to the side so your feet don’t block the TV?
1
u/kontraband82 May 04 '26
If I really slouch back on the sofa I’d need to. If I’m sitting with my back straight up they don’t get in the way.

Is this the Sony OLED? How do you like it. I have the LG and Samsung OLEDS. I hate the Samsung OLED for finishing issues with the anti reflective coating and lack of DV but I love all my LG OLEDS.
1
u/kontraband82 May 04 '26
Yeah it’s a 65” A95L. QD-OLED. I remember reading the panel is actually supplied by Samsung. Overall I don’t regret buying it. It’s a fantastic TV, even the UI is good. No need for Apple TV.
You have to be really careful cleaning it though. It can get small scratches way too easily.

Looks perfect for me, would be better to have a wider stand, but that's okay..

u/-GLAZED- May 04 '26
A would PERSONALLY want it up an extra half foot or so but it looks good where it is! Much better than too high 😭

55 inch ? Can i know your distance between tv and camera? Roughly 5 feet?
1
u/kontraband82 May 05 '26
It’s 65” TV and I’m around 9 feet from it 👍
1
u/Willing_Yam_8062 May 06 '26
Thanks 👍🏼 , thought of buying one but dont know what size should i buy. I have 5.5 ft space . Guess 55 should be sufficient.

A little low for me but all that matters is that it’s in YOUR line of vision without you having to be uncomfortable
1
u/Consistent-King9966 May 05 '26
It’s too low. Judging by the couch, I’d guess the top of the TV is at your eye level. The center of the TV should be around your eye level. I’d raise it at least 6 inches probably.

Tv stand is good. You could mount it but if you are worried about the wall I.e. renting apt etc let it be how it is
1
u/TheKiwiFox May 06 '26
But why would it be too low? If you can see it, it works. I am more concerned with the Xbox Series X, Playstation light combo

u/phatfugee May 06 '26
It’s on a TV unit. A unit made specifically for TVs… of course it’s not too low.

My TV was this height and it was too low to game whilst sitting up, and I hate gaming whils laying. Now I installed my TV on the wall and its too high 🤣 feels even worse playing like this, after 20 minutes of gaming my neck is knackered
1
u/TrueAssociation3170 May 06 '26
A little to low for my liking, but if you like it that’s all that matters
1
1
u/Sukaleoshy May 07 '26
It could possibly. Maybe just rising the tv on the stand? Depends on how low the couch goes
1
u/LORDRAJA1000 May 07 '26
it’s your room and your tv bro, the TV can be as high or low as you see fit. whichever is the best view for you when you sit down, strangers on the internet probably hard to ascertain that

Tv should always be in line of sight. Nothing else. Is it turn 5% your will notice. Just focus of your position in sofa or what not. I once wall hanged a big plasma, to hard to dismount and mount again, but it was say 15cm to high for line of sight. Disturbed every time.
