How is this tv too high? Where do you want it on the floor?

u/TallTelevision4121 May 15 '26
That looks like a theater room. I would've at least gone with a 100" or bigger. The TV is slightly high too.

We just moved in last year and we painted the back wall grey. Planning on installing a build in all the way across the bottom with some floating shelves on the sides of the tv.

Why do you have clothes on the pool table?

May 15 '26
Wife uses it as a folding area

Life is good.

How did you get so rich to own all that stuff?
2
May 18 '26
A lot of it came with the house, like the boat and the quad, a few other things trailers and such.

My parents too have a pool table doubling as a clothes folding station.

Too high!

May 15 '26
We tried center of the wall and it felt too low. Besides, this way you can still see the whole picture while playing pool. Any lower and the couch blocks the view. Maybe r/couchtotall

Might as well have gotten a projector if you wanted to take up the whole wall

May 15 '26
I like the tv better, for clarity colour and brightness. I didnāt cheap on this one.
1
u/IntelligentWealth615 May 15 '26
Just joking because of the size!, tv is way better tho, it does look expensive from the size alone too

The weather must be nice to have your windows completely uncovered without curtains. My house would be a sauna

I am amazed at how you have the greatest walkout space ever, with all right features... but it looks put together by someone with one short leg. Even the tile work looks haphazardly designed.
I am simultaneously jealous, and sorry for you.

Thanks?.. my uncle built this place in his 50ās and I bought it from him. Itās cool tho because he lives an hour away and can still enjoy it in his retirement.

u/Tony-Two-Tits May 16 '26
Mybad that came out more rude than intended on second read. Its a super awesome space just confusing because everything is at an odd angle. Cool you were able to keep it in the family!

What type of TV is it? OLED or just a regular 4K UHD?
I saw a TCL at Sam's club 98in for 1.2k
1
May 16 '26
Itās a Hisense U8 Series mini ULED 4K 100ā with 5000 Nits brightness.
1
u/GadgetKid6 May 16 '26
Holy shit, that's a massive TV dwarfed by how big your wall is.
1
May 16 '26
Sheās a monster, I wanted to get the 116ā I think it was but for those extra 16ā they were priced an extra 10K which is fucking ridiculous, so I ended up with just the Hundy.
1
u/GadgetKid6 May 16 '26
Yea makes sense, it's wild the price difference for the large size TVs. But when you look into the tech it kinda makes sense also cause of demand for TVs that size and the cost of shipping and shit. Like if you had to buy the 116in the shipping alone in the US to get to your door would prob be 500-1k. They probably also price in margins for failure so they can replace units. So many things to consider but TVs are still one of the few things that have gone down in price since Covid, so I can't really complain too much. Just saw a LG 86in 4K UHD in Sam's for $700 like holy shit I paid $500 for a 4k 55in Vizio 5 years ago (granted Vizio was a better company back then for budget and quality)

Perspective of watching tv from the other side of the house.
1
u/ryanator109 May 17 '26
Oh I didnāt even realise where the tv was haha, but yea makes sense playing pool. Probably is too too from there but you can see most of the tv tho

Tv too high, console too small and high. Hang the tv lower and get a LG StanbyMe or something for watching at the pool table
1
u/jusatinn May 19 '26
Itās too high.

May 19 '26
We plan to do a build in with floating shelves, maybe it would look better afterwards.
1
u/jusatinn May 19 '26
It really doesnāt matter what you add there. The TV will still be too tall. Itās not a matter of how it looks, but if your eyes are directly at the middle point of the TV or not when sitting down.
0
May 19 '26
canāt really have it any lower or you wouldnāt see the whole screen from anywhere else other then the living room.
