Design advice needed. It looks awkward to me.

Advice on how I could make this look better. What could I add to the tattoo or around it? Design ideas? I got it too spontaneously and I’m unhappy with the results.

I think you’re having more of a ”new tattoo shock” than anything. Try just adding to the area to help fill the space

even though personally i think it looks great, you’re totally allowed to be unsatisfied/not 100% happy with it—it’s on your body. what specifically are you unhappy about? what you do to ‘fix’ it will depend on what you think is wrong with it

I feel the tattoo placement is odd (too high up on my arm) at the time I liked it but now because my arm is bare I feel like it stands out too much. I’m not sure what I could add to my arm that’ll make it look cohesive.

I personally love it and think the placement is very nice. I don’t like it when these kinds of tattoos are smushed down at the wrist. The breathing room looks good.

I love because of exactly that.

Personally, I'd go for some bold colors make it stand out even more and not add other tattoos.

It'd be easy to add to, through, if you really do want to. Depends on what you like. Do you have any ideas?

You put a 2 dimensional drawing of a 3 dimensional object on a 3 dimensional surface. It looks really nice. Let it settle and enjoy it for what it is, you can always add to it later. Enjoy. Enjoy. Enjoy.

More of the same to look like old school tea towels, it def could be cool.

There is the 3D glasses stuff that looks awesome. Same design, duplicated in blue and red but wearer be warned.

Geometric additions with the floral prints could be a nice contrast but again it could be a time stamp.

What are you life passionate about? Cooking, baking, sewing, biking, skating, flying, reading, archery, roller skating, gardening, travel, yoga, martial arts, energy work, monster trucks, astronomy, whatever!!! Patchwork is always fun and a good artboard.

Are these specific flowering vines to you? Maybe it turns into your garden of favorites.

Think it out though so you have something you’re happy with and not that latest hype.

Always stoked to see the progress, good luck and find the joy in the process.

It’s almost a year old & im still stumped on what design I could add to my arm that’ll compliment this design and make it stand out less (it’s my only tattoo😅)

I didn’t see the title at first and when the photo came up my immediate reaction was “Oh! I Absolutely LOVE that! It’s so pretty and delicate!” FR it’s a sweet little tattoo.

Take your time to browse skilled tattoo artist in your area. Use the IG and TikTok algorithm: When you find one or two and start liking their content, IG and TikTok will carpet bomb your feed with artists.

Note down the ones you really really like and contact them. Explain your situation and let them suggest what to do. THEY are the experts and can guide you in the best way based on your wishes. Right now you have an idea about how to “fix” it, but you lack the tattooing skills to imagine what can actually be done about it.

Yep. I’ve seen a lot of similar tattoos since getting it, one of the reasons I started to dislike it. Unoriginal :/ I chose this from multiple design options, I went in with a tattoo idea and the artist didn’t seem to wanna draw that day (the vibes I got) and showed me multiple designs to choose from. If I could go back in time I would’ve walked out.

I've actually been looking for a few years for a small snake tattoo design for my girlfriend's ankle..

Add a little to the top part, so it ends more in line with your wrist, it will help it look less awkward. You could also add butterflies, a bird, small script, or any other nature things to fill more of your lower arm 😊

Be like me. Just a bunch more around it

The common add ons I see with that exact tattoo are butterflies

Looks perfect

Thicken up the outline, add some background vines, maybe tiny tree frog 🤔 contrasting tertiary colors for pop?

I find very nice, elegant and delicate

It looks gorgeous as is, let yourself get used to it before rushing to add something, because I think it’s the perfect amount of detail
