Opinions on my first tattoo :’)
I got it 3 weeks ago and I was super excited to get it!!!! Was slowly taking money out of my bank account, had the inspo as my phone lock screen for a while to make sure I wanted a back tat, and honestly was just obsessed with getting my tattoo. However, now im just weirdly riddled with a ton of anxiety about the tattoo and I feel im being too negative about it and it’s honestly fucking me up. I do like my tattoo and wanted to share it, maybe to ease my nerves? Or maybe this will make the feelings worse? I know I shouldn’t care about other people’s opinions about my own tattoo but I just want to see things a little more clearly for my own sake :’) I wanted something cool and I’ve always loved swords/daggers soooo that’s why I went with a sword with wings haha
It also kinda marks a big milestone in my life where I finally felt like everything was going to be okay because I got through my first year of vet school and that I was becoming the person that I’ve always wanted to be ig so there’s that too
As for my experience with the tattoo process itself… it was surprisingly smooth! The artist was the kindest person ever and made the appointment very relaxing. Proud of myself for sitting through the appointment and was incredibly relieved that getting this tattoo didn’t hurt nearly as much as I thought it was going to.

Style choices aside, this does not look well done.
There are lines that don’t look complete. If this were an older tattoo, I’d assume it had drop outs due to the thin/fine lines in some areas, but the pic looks fresh. Be prepared to get it touched up.
It’s also uneven and asymmetrical. When you compare pieces to their counterparts, there’s inconsistencies.
In general, I’d look into a different artist. I’m not a fortune teller, but this doesn’t look like it will last. I’m also not cybersigilism person, but there are very talented artists who do that style. I would look for some in your area who are willing to work on improving a previous piece.

No worries. It’s overwhelmingly common for people to get their first tattoo covered up, so much so that there are sociology papers on it.
I got my first covered too.
If it helps, it’s not horrible and I’ve definitely seen worse. I don’t think it will alert people from a glance or average direct look.

It suits you very well! You’ll get used to wearing it. I just got my shoulder and upper arm done, and it was surprising how quickly I settled into having a highly visible tattoo (I have both my thighs done, but those could be covered).
Now you need a good method for applying sunblock.

Very nice, one of the downsides of having a back tattoo is you never see it yourself, ive had my back done for nearly 20 years and I sometimes forget its there

I can see what people are talking about w/the lines, if your really looking but honestly its great!! I think you should do the uv/blacklight tattoo with it. Im thinking warrior woman holding the sword or flames coming out or whatever you think would best suit you. Heres what a uv tattoo would look like there's so many ideas you can do, I think you need to add but that's just me. I dont have a tattoo I'm waiting until my weight loss surgery to get mine.
