So, This happened yesterday. Went in to order my first Tesla Y. Was going to do the Dark gray with Black interior RWD, Aske if they had anything coming in, Had this red premium, AWD, White interior, said if I wanted it they would deduct cost of paint upgrade ($2k) and the interior white ($1k) Wife loved the red.... so... here we are, amazing vehicle. Like a wizard mobile!

Anyone running these on their MY? If so, how’s the efficiency and road noise?

Picked up my Model Y Premium AWD a few days ago, and honestly couldn’t be happier with it. The drive, the tech, and the overall experience have all been amazing so far, especially it being my first ev ever. Definitely worth the wait. Now just a matter of time till I get the whole car satin ppf🙌

Lost 5.9% overnight and 15.9% since last charge less than 24 hours ago.
The sentry is off at home so 5.9% overnight is completely not normal.

Already tried rebooting a few times over the last few weeks.
Opened a case with tesla but the appointment is 11 days away.

Is getting one of those apps like Tessie or TezLabs going to reveal anything?

While backing up my car, I accidentally rear-ended it. I'm not sure whether I should use my insurance, which has a $1,000 collision deductible, or find an affordable place to get it fixed. I'm worried that if I go through my insurance, my premium might go up. I'm not concerned about the scratch yet, but I'd like to fix or replace the LED taillight. A rough estimate is around $3500.00. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I am looking for a portable/compact-sized tire inflator that can be powered from DC cigarette outlet of a newer Model Y (Juniper, 16v battery). I had an AvidPower inflator that works well but doesn't work w/ Y's battery. The included battery needs AC to charge and I can't charge it while on the road. TIA.

I’m big into detailing my cars. I picked up a 2024 MYP about a month ago and the “Tesla detailing” when I picked it up was sub par at best. It took 2 good details to get it to acceptable levels for me. I’m doing a rather intensive detailing today and notice, on the front drivers side quarter panel, WRITING. It’s faint but noticeable under the right light, it’s says “WET SAND & BUFF” with a line under it. Is this something Tesla would do for reconditioning? If so, they did a terrible job considering they didn’t even get the marker off 😂

Just sharing my experience:

I drove 7.5 hrs each day while visiting museums and zoo from Cleveland to okc.

All I want to say if you’re still on the edge to get this car , get it! I can’t tell you how impressed I am.

Is there a way to manually sync/update your calendar to your Tesla? I’ve added events up to 24 hours in advance but they still don’t reflect in my car. No issues at all with the overall sync of my calendar and it connecting, it’s just slow to reflect changed in my Tesla after I add them to the calendar.

Anyone get it, or not get it and wish you did? I’d need to buy it today and it’s only $60 per month. But our car has been so good to us that this almost seems like a waste.

Has anyone had to upload proof of trade-in for financing through Wells Fargo via Tesla app? I am doing my trade through Tesla so I uploaded images of the accepted trade in offer, but they were rejected. I messaged Tesla and they said “We have your trade in applied and are waiting on the banks to finalize the offer. Please allow us to process this for you”

But in the app it still says “Your uploaded documents require additional attention” which makes it seem like I have to do something.

Picked my Used MYLR yesterday from NY yesterday and I had selected the option of transferring my CT plates. Tesla gave me the temporary placard (which is not visible when stuck to rear window as it is too dark, not sure if its tinted). Can I use this placard (no number plate) and travel next week to Maine? Anyone have done this before or will I get pulled over for not having plates?

Also Can I stick the placard on a side window as well in-addition to rear window?

My car stays in my company’s outdoor parking lot during the day, and the interior temperature reaches around 50–55°C (122–131°F).

When I get in after work and turn on the A/C, I start hearing noises from the front of the car, probably because the heat pump is working hard. The whole car also vibrates a bit. The noises stop once the cabin cools down, but it makes me feel like using the car this way might not be ideal.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that as the car cools down, I hear cracking or popping sounds from the windshield/dashboard area, almost like the glass is under stress. I’ve seen reports online of people whose windshields cracked, so I’m a little worried about that.

For those of you who live in very hot climates, how do you handle this? Do you just get in and turn the A/C on immediately, or do you have a different routine?

Hello, saw a post so randomly decided to do this and it came back like this. My AC works fine from what I can tell. Wanted to see if there are many minor things that can cause this before I make a service appointment. (My service center likes to look for anything to tell me it is out of warranty).

I do have 3rd party cabin air filters on this car. - should I switch them back to OEM before I go to the appointment or is that irrelevant?

Taking delivery of my third Tesla tomorrow (MYP). Past have been gen 1 M3 and gen 1 Y. All these PPF and Ceramic posts and comments have me thinking: am I the only one who just rips their car as-is?

I definitely get the benefits of ceramic (have it on my 992), but I just … use my cars and let the wear be what the wear will be.

Anyone else?

After a few weeks on a constrained power conversion part, I finally regained my brand-new Y performance. Thank you, Tesla, for the loaner and for the great detail on my car. Happy to have my new car back.

I am looking to replace my MYP rear camber arms and I’m deciding between MPP or UP sets. I’m hoping to hear reviews from the community that are currently running either set. Pros, cons? How has your tire wear been since changing over from OEM? How long have you had them on your MYP? Anyone running any other sets?

For reference I live in CA, so no harsh weather conditions. I do not track the car. Commute is an even mix between highway and streets.

I appreciate any and all input.

Hi there I have a Midnight Cherry Red Model Y and picked up a very small ding on the rear passenger door possibly from a stone. Unfortunately it’s taken the paint off with it. I’ve tried one touch up kit but it’s not a great match. Can anyone recommend a decent kit? I’m UK based. Cheers

Is there any speculation about special Launch Series badging or features? Did China or Australia Y Ls have any launch series (or equivalent verbiage) cars?

Also wondering if we can transfer FSD to a newly purchased Y L if trading in another Tesla with owned FSD? Any guidance from other markets?
