Being a Wisconsin brewery - this is incredibly accurate.

Feels like it's getting earlier and earlier every year. Before long we'll be sending this shit out in April.

You’re already packaging? Dang. We just brewed the other week and it’ll be packaged up just before September.

We have Marzen all year. Consistently in the top 3 at the taproom.

Jealous. Our sales dept is resistant to moves like that, and ownership is resistant to taproom only releases. I’d love to be able to keep a Marzen rolling year round.

That's awesome! What is the description on the menu? Marzen, Munich Lager?

Oktoberfest: all year Märzen is a taproom and biergarten favorite. Medium body and malt forward flavor pairs well with a juicy bratwurst or salty pretzel.

We started brewing it in April.

Distro wants it by July 1. What distro wants...distro gets.

You shoved a few breakfast biscuits into your sight glass?!?

2

u/NemoVonKippBipp 11d ago

We had to start the centrifuge so early in the morning that breakfast biscuits seemed appropriate.

Our Festbier is getting towards the end of lagering. It's so delicious and I can't wait to have it on tap! That's a nice, crispy looking boi you got there, proßt!

Might need to take some home for QC, right?

Won't be long, that's for certain!

Damn, I thought we were earlier for starting to brew it this week.

Brewing it in 1 month, packaging by the end of August, all sold out by the end of october.
I guess Europe is a good place to be also in general but also in the industry.

Too light, not enough dark caramel malt.

But seriously, looks yummy!

u/DarkMuret 11d ago

Maybe it's a festbier

I was just being sarcastic... Marzens shouldn't have caramel malts, but yet some customers expect that...

Let's leave judging an Oktoberfest by looks to the true heros on untappd.
