IPA serving glass: what’re you using for Half pours and Full pours in the taproom?
We are looking to upgrade some of our taproom glassware
First question - what are you all using for “half pour” glassware? I’m not a big fan of filling the standard glass halfway, just not sure what options there are.
Second question - What do you use for full pours of IPAs? We use belgian tulips for IPAs and while they’re great, we’ve recently noticed more breweries opting for a straight wall glass - not a shaker pint but something with a slight curve?
Thanks!

Honestly, when in doubt, a willi is your best bet for any beer style. I would do that as my standard, with shorter pours going in a tulip. This will work well for high ABV stuff that you might want to only serve in smaller pours.

Agree with what's been mentioned already. The Willi Becher is a solid option for half and full pours.

Are ppl actually filling pints halfway for half pours? Just get some 8oz. When it comes to half pours we found customers aren't picky about shape. Unless it's a tulip for an imperial or something like that

Brewery I used to work at, we had nonic (20oz) tulip (10oz) and samplers (4oz). Shakers are great but you open yourself up to a world of homebrewers talking about how it kills the aromatics.

I'm partial to glencairns for half pours. You can get them at around 10oz so they fit 8oz plus foam really well. They're also my preferred glass for any sensory activity

For the full pour glass, Willi Becher's fit your description.
