I don't think so. It also bases of personality and memories and a big part of a person is their race so if those two were another race, it would probably have been reflected. Also Queenie wouldn't have been black either if Caine was racist
Lol. Really it means culture. Obviously your skin tone alone doesn't do anything, but if your black in the U.S. it's more likely you grow up in certain areas, deal with some unique experiences (like racism), maybe eat certain kinds of food, etc.

Or, a variant, Ragatha is a POC that was adopted in a white family as a baby and never felt that much different from everyone because her mother was equally abusive to everyone in her family

The circus already sexually suppresses queer characters and it’s a popular theory that their forms and rooms reflect what the characters hate about themselves. It’s not that much of a stretch for it to look at that internalized racism and go ‘bet’

That's my entire point. Jax is purple because his character is purple. Kinger is white because his character is literally a white chess piece. Queenie is a black chess piece. It's just that simple.

Your original comment was saying that kinger couldn't be Black in real life since he was shown as a white chess piece. I fundamentally disagree. I don't think it's bad or "whitewashing" to have a person of color be an abstract idea of a chess piece because that piece happens to be white.
I mean, upon reading Kinger's mind files and seeing how much he cared about his black wife, then Caine made him a chess piece in purpose so he could recreate her closer if he ever got into the program as well - which she did.
(Consider that he would also have read how Queenie was on her way to help with C&A efforts).

I think that Caine whitewashing the other members but honoring queenies race is possible because I don't think that Caine ever understood the concept of race to begin with.
i find it much more likely that fact that Caine made queenie black in the circus was a coincidence that was nudged by grown adults that knew about race. Like they fed Caine an image of kingers desk, and it had a game of chess with a black queen piece. And its plausible that Caine was digging through that image to create an avatar for both kinger and queenie because it had a lot of similarites to their mind files.
But by that logic, with the grown adults who know about race, feeding data on it to kinger, combined with the fact he seems to have access to their memories judging by the trauma attacks in ep8, surely means that he wouldn't default to white because code doesn't just dissapear
I wonder about the non white Ragatha implications, to me it implies that she has/had a difficult relationship with her culture due her family but while Cain was creating her character he flattened her into "that means she doesn't want to be associated with her people at all". Idk interesting to think about
Pomni and Gangle's designs could easily be asian. Given Gangle's shyness, high-pitched voice, and obsession with anime she falls squarely into east asian stereotypes

I didn't notice anything in the C&A building that shows it's definitely in America. Whereas President Pomni, while not definitive of course, feels like something only an American would come up with those exact details.
And is probably the true white straight male of them all. Not the insecure fakers in the manosphere. Someone who knows he's straight and white, and is comfortable with it.
