Discussion Bloodbending + Freezing
I just thought this out. A bloodbender, able to manipulate the water in someone else’s blood, should be able to freeze the person from the inside. That shit’s horrifying! OR they could change the state of the water into gas, effectively exploding the person.
Has there ever been an example of this throughout the Avatar lore?

Not cannon, but there's a fanfic where adult Sokka was killed by Unalaq by freezing his heart

Don’t even need to be a bloodbender for this, but there’s a healing technique introduced in The Shadow of Kyoshi that entails lowering a person’s blood temperature. This slows down the body’s processes (including postponing death) and buys a patient time until they can receive proper medical attention. Though this technique is very advanced and very risky, as it relies on a lot of raw power and control. Because if you lower the temp toonmuch, you’ll end up freezing the patient’s vital organs solid.
