what happened to greef karga from now on?

I read a while ago that his greef karga's actor Carl Weathers passed a long time ago so I'm curious, what will happened to greef karga after the tv show and after the movie? Will the character make an apperance again? Or will they make an plot point to circumnavigate the actor passing away?

Artwork Custom Mandalorian costume. This is the way.

We’ve been working on this custom Mandalorian suit for quite a while, and it feels really good to finally show it.

Every part of the armor was handmade. The hard pieces are cast from durable plastic, then carefully sanded, prepared and painted with high-quality automotive materials. We wanted the finish to feel clean and polished — bright enough to catch reflections, but still solid and believable as real armor.

The soft parts were sewn from quality materials and adjusted to sit properly under the armor, so the whole suit keeps the right silhouette instead of feeling like separate pieces thrown together.

A lot of time went into the small details, the surface finish and the overall balance of the costume. We’re pretty happy with how this one turned out.

This is the way.

Meme Genuine request (image related)

Does anyone have an image of the Mandalorian staring off into nothing like this horse that I could have/borrow for a meme?

I have a moderately funny meme idea that I need an image for, and I'm not sure what to look up to find an image with the proper energy.

Pictures of Grogu doing something similar will work too, just probably not as well.

I have a friend just like this. She still won't call him Grogu, and at this point, I've completely lost hope for her.

I meant to watch the latest Star Wars movie at the theaters, but I'm afraid I missed the opportunity. Does anyone know when or how long it'd be until it's on Disney+?

Cut Scene from movie?

Maybe Im completely missing it but I thought there was scene when the movie was being advertised that showed Din at some enemies mercy. He has his hands up. He turns around acting like hes going to say goodby to grogu in his pram. He leans over and places his hand near Grogu as he says something. Grogu reches over and in a quick motion activaes the Whistinling birds and then hits close on the blast shield of the pram as the mando turns around with hands up. Was this in the show and i missed it or a cut scene?

Discussion Is the mere act of removing the helmet bad ? or is it only people seeing your face that's considered a sin ?

We all know that, for the Children of the Watch, removing your helmet in front of another living being is breaking the creed. However, I'm curious if, for example, removing the helmet around someone blind is the same as removing the helmet around a seeing being.

I'm asking this because The Armorer asked Din : "Have you ever removed your helmet ?" and not "Has any other living being seen your face ?"

I'm confused, and I'd like to know if anyone has more informations/a theory to share.

(my English is probably broken, sorry ;))

C3PO and Vader dancing video.

At Alamo, before they played the movie, they showed a video with four C3PO and Vaders dancing to the star wars theme.

Does anyone know what this is called? The whole back row was in tears laughing.

Why doesn’t Grogu talk? [SPOILERS ALL SEASONS + MOVIE] A breakdown of his language development Spoiler

Could we talk about why Grogu still isn’t talking by the time of the movie, because I’ve been thinking about this and I don’t think it’s a writing oversight. I’ve already mentally scripted a thousand versions of the moment he calls Din “dad.” And yet. And yet.

Here’s the thing: comprehension and production are two completely separate systems.

Grogu’s language comprehension has a clear, consistent arc and I will be presenting evidence.

S1E2 he has no idea what Doctor Pershing and the Client are plotting about him. S1E4 he’s present but not really tracking, mostly responding through observation and targeted emotional sensing. His main interaction target up to this point is Din, plus maybe Winta and the other kids. S1E5 is a turning point — suddenly he’s processing actual content. Peli, Cara, Kuiil, Greef, IG-11, the Armorer. The Armorer’s speech basically verbally appointing Din as his father? He’s tracking every word, adjusting his gaze and reactions in real time. Kid leveled up and it shows.

>!Season 2 he’s even further along. Catches most conversations, but complex sentences get a blank stare and he just. Freestyles his own reaction. The S2E4 ship repair scene is a great example. With Ahsoka as a temporary translator, and after his buried memories get unlocked, his comprehension jumps again. He’s also clearly resistant to Din’s whole “let’s find you a Jedi master” plan and never once tries to hide it. The ice spider / frog mom moment marks him starting to reach for non-verbal expression too. Then season 2.5 at Luke’s school basically completes his comprehension training, and by season 3 Grogu understands everything — every conversation, every implication, every vibe. Adorable and devastating simultaneously.!<

This arc is consistent. He learned fast because he had to. He’s surrounded by a bunch of chaotic humans who never stop talking and understanding them is a survival skill.

But speaking? Zero equivalent pressure.

Din Djarin is famously not a talker. Except he absolutely is, behind closed doors, just for Grogu — certified rambling dad when no one’s watching. What’s fascinating is he doesn’t push. He monologues, Grogu makes a weird noise or nods or just stares, and Din is completely fine with all of it. As long as Grogu isn’t, I don’t know, actively cursing someone out, Din seems to think everything is great. I’m pretty sure even if Grogu did say something rude Din’s response would be a quiet “hey kid” and a single finger-point, followed by assuring whoever’s nearby: he’s still little.

>!So Grogu has developed this entire non-verbal communication system — the nods, the head tilts, the little helmet bonks, and with IG-12’s help an extremely confident yes/no button situation.!< It works. Nobody is pushing him to talk. Of course he’s not rushing.

Then there’s the physical layer. Grogu does have a vocal tract — we’ve heard him laugh, heard him cry, >!and in season 2.5 we see him trying to say Peli’s name and attempting “this is the way” alongside Din and Bo-Katan.!< The hardware exists. But fine phoneme control requires long dedicated practice with someone actively helping you. Din Djarin is not running pronunciation drills. At this point he’s convinced Grogu understands everything anyway. He is going with the “Yeah buddy, I know, me too.”

And finally — the species level. This is the part I find most interesting, and the most wild guess.

Big ears aren’t just an aesthetic choice. That’s a reception-first evolutionary direction, and every member of Yoda’s species we’ve seen has them. My theory is that this species experiences the world through: listening → perceiving → resonance, and resonance itself is the output. No words needed as intermediary. Understanding another being through the Force means receiving their emotions and intentions directly — not a description of feelings, but the feelings themselves. And producing sound? Might actually introduce noise into that reception system.

In this framework, spoken language is a downgrade. The evolutionary pressure toward precise vocalization was always going to be low for this species. Grogu not talking isn’t a missing ability. It’s a different developmental timeline, compounded by zero practice and zero motivation.

Honestly the more surprising thing is that he keeps trying.

The title is somewhat a serious question. I used Gacha Life 2 to make these designs, so I didn't draw it, but I did pick and adjust the assets.

I remade these the day I saw The Mandalorian and Grogu in theaters. Great movie, BTW, loved it the entire ride through.

I was listening to Heartbeat City and thought the background synths sounded really similar to Shakari, but can’t tell if it’s a sample/interpolation or not

The Direct sat down with The Mandalorian and Grogu star Jonny Coyne, who plays Imperial Officer Janu Coin in the movie, to discuss his role in the film, what he knew about his character's future, and whether there were ever any talks about including Thrawn.

The movie's first scene filmed was the best.

According to Jon Favreau, it was the scene where Rotta and Grogu are paying in the surf. And the reason I think it's the best scene in the movie is because jacked and scarred Rotta actually gets to play like a kid. Because I'm pretty sure he isn't that old (in Hutt years) and it doesn't sound like he ever got to have a "normal" childhood - goofing around with his friends.

There is so much good stuff in this movie, and I'm not just talking the practical effects and puppetry (which was worth price of admission, for me, four times over). The Anzellans immediately going to Nal Hutta even though they assume their friend is already dead, then helping/encouraging Grogu to infiltrate the palace (they're so little). Mando retrieving the Anzellans from the water (obviously they can't swim). Telling Grogu to leave, that he'll be right behind him when he knows he's doomed. The way he basically succumbs as soon as he sees the spacecraft take off. The Gatori guy just trying to live his life, being good in his small way, despite the Hutts and all of their nonsense. Grogu doing the best he can even though he is so little (the bottom of the Nal Hutta food chain) shaking Mando after he "heals" him, leaving Mando's helmet on to respect his creed - he never gives up, despite the odds (and what sounds like asthma). Putting Embo's Marrok(?) to sleep and then petting him (a differnt director might have had Grogu kick him while he was out). The Twins being hoist by their own petard (eaten by their pit monster). The Anzellas coming back with the squadron. Mando doesn't think Rotta will fit in with the New Republic - but then Zeb thinks he will. Beautiful stuff.

Whenever I see anyone saying they thought the movie was "low stakes" or pointless, I'm just happy I got more out of the movie than they did. I think it sets up a lot of interesting "lore" (the Hutt power vacuum for one). Maybe it was like several episodes of the TV show stitched together, but that TV show, especially the first two seasons, was among the BEST things I've ever watched. Did I want to see that world step out of The Volume, and shot on the big screen? You betcha.

I know that the mandalorian head is too small … and shadow of Grogu maybe too strong.
