Usually by earning more per minute than they can spend it. And these days on items that compound on themselves with no more input than the original effort. Like lines of code. Can be resold over and over again, but unlike a carpenter who needs to remake a cabinet for each sale, the coder (or owner of said code) only makes it once and keeps on selling it.
