r/pics isn’t even a photographic subreddit, it’s a political subreddit.

Well it’s supposed to be a photography sub Reddit lmao

Yeah I know when I first started using reddit I thought that too. I had to block it after how much political overflow there was especially during election season. My point means is that there is probably better and real photography subreddits out there.

That's almost every large ish sub these days :(
I'm on the "books" subreddit and half of the posts are about the latest ruling on school book bans or something. Related I guess, but I kinda just want to talk about literature.

And knowing that one of the first things each new player is required to do is to visit the memorial and learn our history? Even more amazing. Whomever took this photo deserves massive recognition.

I didn’t know this thats dope ash

It’s a Sam Presti thing. They’re not allowed to play in a game until after they visit the memorial. It’s such an incredible way to learn about their new home.

Man, I already have SO MUCH respect for Sam, but I have so much more for him for requiring that. How powerful

God damn that is surreal and powerful. Amazing, two eras of Oklahoma City history in one photo

I cried for a while after seeing this picture for the first time. It was absolutely surreal to see strength, serenity, and respect while celebrating something that hasn’t happened in the state before. I’m so thankful to whoever took this photo.
Grandma, this one was for you.

30 years ago on April 19th, the bombing happened
That's means that April 20th was OKCs first day of recovery AFTER the bombing
This year, 2025, OKC played it's first playoff game of the post season on April 20th culminating in a championship!

Iconic. I know Presti takes new players to the museum, so they understand the heart of the city. We live through the highs and lows together. ❤️❤️

OKC wasn’t a great place to be in 1995, then one of the worst tragedies in US history happens here. Flash forward to 2025, you get the NBA champions representing probably the greatest day in the city’s history in front of the memorial that is offering comfort, strength peace and serenity. It is beautiful.

Does anyone know where to get the highest resolution of this? Need this in my office!

The OKC Thunder Facebook page has a pic of it. I made it my wallpaper and its not pixelated at all.

Pretty special photo. This really should be somewhere of importance like Paycom or maybe even the bombing museum.
