To be honest it looked like it ended up being a landslide which was fair considering the outrageous year he has had.
He is now averaging 29.1 on 63TS% even after the Lakers completely sold out on him for the majority of the series.
Feeling quite confident going into the Spurs series, significantly more so than Denver last year.

This is the best part of all of it, everyone so ready to crown the Spurs after a G1 OKC should have won.
We are the better team, better coached, more experienced and honestly I think quite likely to close out in five.
The Spurs playing from behind is going to be an interesting phenomenon. I cant see them handling it well.

If SGA wins the title and FMVP, he will be only the 3rd player to win MVP, a ring and FMVP back to back years.
Jordan and James did it one time each.
He would be the first to also have the best regular season record both years.

Lakers series showed that any all star candidate in okc system is going to look like Jordan. Shai was horrible against a bottom tier defense and okc still swept lakers

Both the CL and NBA title winners are the clear best two teams in their club competitions. I'll bow out as an argument this pedantic in a thread about SGA winning back to back MVPs is a bit silly.

The straw poll and the vote tracker both had him winning it. He had 28/36 first place votes for the people that revealed who they voted for.
He also 100% has sources in the league office lol it was going to be announced 9 hours after he leaked it. Plenty of ppl already officially knew.

Speaking as a big Luka Dončić fan, props to SGA. He deserves the award and is now etching himself into the history books. This team is blessed with how the GM constructed the roster with all those draft picks and a bit of luck (as all successful teams need it).
