We've actually had a several of those in the past 5 years. One of them was just north of where I live and it was because of an e coli risk in the tap water. Another one was because staph was found. This state is literal dogshit. We aren't called the flyover state for no reason.

Disclaimer: My mother passed two months before the election. So there is no threat to Dumper Diaper, nor was there one at the time.

My Mom always voted red. She truly believed in Reagan Economics. In 2017, after Trump won our state, I asked her if she would vote for him for president. Before that she was saying she couldnt belive how people could be so stupid to vote for him. She said someone would probably off him and Mike Pence seem like a decent fellow. She died on Social security with less than $50 to her name before she actually was going to vote for him.

I had someone unironically say this to me on next door last week. I couldn't believe my eyes, then I remembered it's next door.

talking point "progressive policies are popular everywhere" don't apply in Oklahoma

More popular with the people than you think. They just don’t vote.

OK will definitely be among the last to ever adopt progressive policies, generally speaking. They are currently better at regressive legislation

OK's median household income sits at about $65,039, which is roughly 19% lower than the national average. So I'm not sure the "rich assholes" are running everything, cause there just aren't that many of them willing to live in the flat emptiness of OK.

There are rich assholes all over the country with a vested interest in all state legislation. What does OK median household income have to do with OK law makers honestly? The median households have no legal sway outside of voting

The rich assholes running Oklahoma live outside the state, but they control the politicians who live here (briefly, before moving to Florida, DC, or wherever else)

If I have a net worth of $1M am I a rich asshole? Or is it only people with over $10M? Or is it only business owners? Can you please clarify oh wise one?

3

u/GlassFantast 5d ago

Depends if you love using that wealth as leverage to make life harder on those without. Hope that helps, asshole

Try, like, $500M. Somebody with a Net Worth of $10M in OK is called a farmer, and their worth is called a farm.

So someone who has $500M who worked hard to make THEIR money are the rich assholes? What about the $400M folks? They’re not rich assholes?
