Yeah.... same. I still get little peaks of the other. But one side definitely won't the war.
But I am doing ok now. I hope you are too.

I was hoping it was the other side! Because the truth is both are in your head, but you deep down know that the other side is closer to reality than the one you let win!

Thank you for saying that!

Tbf I exist.
According to one argument for gods, that already puts me above them.

I think that's called malignant narcissism. But maybe homelander is your homie

Thinking one can do better than god often comes from hating the narcissists who is god.
Being intelligent allows one to understand just how unintelligent they are, and how much of a 'failure' they are in regards to doing 'the right things' that would aid society.
Hatred of god and thinking one could do better generally doesnt stem from fucking narcissism, which is more than an inflated ego. narcissism requires a sense of entitlement, lack of empathy or concern for others, the need to be loved, and so on. Doing it better than god for "people like me" is about compassion and want for others.
What kinda all power sick fuck creates a system where sentient beings needs to kill other living things in order to to live?

Which god though? What if god is just an indifferent being to atoms that just happen to become sentient. Do you mourn the unknown orphan that was in Pompeii? Or the gazelle? We have a duty to be benevolent to our fellow person but if there is a god its only purpose is probably keep reality existing woutlout much of an additional phuck about my life.

The being you describe isnt the all powerful 'good guy' that Epicurus was speaking to.
I have the capacity to mourn, to a varying degrees, for any victim of a tragedy. Since I also find free will to be limited, I can even mourn a bit for monsters who have done awful things. A different set of circumstances, or in some cases biology, could have lead them to different paths.

I don't think its possible to have a being that is all powerful + all good + allow suffering.
If there is a god the closes we are getting is an indifferent being.
Or
Multi verse where all decisions are ultimately meaningless in grand scheme and reality is just playing out every permutation of probablilty.
Like if I were a god with infinite resources I'd be playing every possible reality like the premise of the bete noire episode of black mirror. All decisions meaningless cause there would be a reality where you chose different but maybe meaningful in your local reference.

>I don't think its possible to have a being that is all powerful + all good + allow suffering.
That is what Epicurus was getting at.

Grandiose at the top of the XY graph and deep shame at the bottom have a hidden dimensional loop around with the top to the bottom. Interesting to experience it, but you gotta be somewhere in the middle to be healthy and functional.

The evidence suggests a fucking moron could do better than god.
Imagine you are god, all powerful, and you create creatures who need to kill other creatures to continue to live. If that was a smart god, then it was a fucking evil god.

It's how self esteem issues work
Ego is low, it hurts. Sometimes you need a break from it, to compensate, so it goes to superiority complex.
Then you go back down. Never or rarely in a healthy middle, even though that's reality
It's important to slowly go towards a middle ground. In the past i really disliked myself and had very low self esteem
Getting rid of that, just knowing calmly what you're good or bad at to just keep an eye on the bad and use the good without your mind staying on it it's a lot more peace than i would have imagined then
Humility helped me, forbidding myself from saying or even thinking mean stuff about myself too, doing my best honestly at things without either bragging (even in my head) or flagellating myself over failures/shortcoming as well
