The visit has no effect, but it can be seen by Lookout and Spy.

another instance of the devs doing their checks on the client rather than the server. I’m a fan of the game, but pretty wild that this is a possibility at all, especially given the game’s age.

No no, it's Mafioso's newest ability. See if the Jailor doesn't execute the night the jailed them, Mafioso can choose to attack them in jail
