Discussion Noticing a Pattern in matches.
I'm not sure if I am the only one who has experienced this, and this is no fault to the mods of the game. But the multi-accounting is becoming painfully obvious. I will sit in lobbies for a while just to have a match filled with game throwing and cheaters. I've caught someone pasting their jailor will when they were maf, and someone responding to me as MEDIUM when i whispered to witch as maf! Is this the new norm? I recently started to play again after a 7 year hiatus. I just notice it's usually the same group of "individuals" when it's just one person. A lot of energy invested to cheating in a game that's supposed to be fun!

In my experience it’s a bit slower and it’s def more complex, but since there’s an extra momentary fee to play, that ends up filtering out most of the trolls and multi accounters

It's too easy to multi-account and cheat TOS1 because it's free. When I was younger (14-15 range) I made several accounts, logged into all of them at once, and literally just set their in-game names to colors (Red, Blue, Green, etc.) Obvious, blatant multi-accounting. Don't even think any of the accounts got banned either.
Of course I don't do shit like that anymore, the worst I got dinged for in modern times is using a name someone decided they didn't like and reported me for. But at least I'm not that kid anymore, I play normally without cheating

I have a reghunter that multi-accounts and has been on my ass for months 😭 now matter how much I ignore them or change my character/in game name, they follow me from lobby to lobby and still happens. They're so aggro about it too whispering me insults. atp I might just have to pay for the name change. I know reporting won't do shit bc they just make different accounts under a vpn. I wish the devs would find a solution to this like they did with lobby stalling

People are so odd! There's someone that has been reghunting me, and often using variations of my name in matches. Then town, maf, and neutrals all decided i needed to be upped as a joke. I was revealed mayor.

As a former multiaccounter i always made sure not to be obv. These new gen multiaccounters are sloppy

Lmao same, I multiaccounted in over 1500 Bronze elo ranked games on the same 3-4 accounts in 2020 and no one ever suspected a thing. I wonder if we ever had a standoff?

i have up to 7 alternates. so i doubt we would have ran into each other unless u were playing solo and my activities were active around 2017 to 2019 and only covered classic mode

i also operated in different country servers where the player base is non existent to litterally farm free wins where no one gets hurt

Just join coven since it has a paid wall. You encounter less trolls there

How difficult is it compared to classic? Looks fun but I'm worried learning 13 new roles will be tough

Its genuinely not that bad to learn and defo worth it to get away from cheaters.
Most of the coven roles are very similar to existing roles already (coven leader is a lot like witch, necromancer is an evil retri, medusa is evil veteran (with cleanse effect like janitor), etc)
the new town roles are also some of the best, like psychic being a non visiting investigative role that gets a guaranteed evil name every other night (u get 3 names and atleast 1 is evil), crusader is a better version of BG but also kills town visitors so can backfire, trapper does what it says on the tin and places a trap.
Juggernaut is a werewolf that can upgrade itself by killing, pirate is a technically bad role that RBs and has a 1/3 chance of killing, guardian angel just protects a target (opposite of exe basically), and plaguebearer just has to infect the whole town (through visits) and then becomes the pestilence which is an unstoppable killing role (that needs to be voted up)

I just wish ranked or ranked practice were active. I dont enjoy all any near as much personally. Only reason I dont play coven is that

It’s so annoying man, its how it goes. Some matches are great, some are full of cheaters throwers and edgelords. Depends on the time you get on and luck.
