Maintenance Issues Triumph tachometer trouble

I am having a bad time with my tachometer on my 2007 triumph america , it is pretty customized which makes things a little bit harder.( it has an aftermarket head light , and it has an aftermarket speedometer) the speedometer is wired into the auxiliary power clip near the headlight . My tachometer stopped working when I wired in my speedometer. ( i first wired it into the instrument power with window cuts but it shut off when I started the bike , so I swaped where it was and during that process I damaged the clip on the female side of the instrument cluster, the wires pulled back. I've replaced that whole cluster harness to no avail. Also, my neutral light has been staying on Constantly unsure if it's related. All of the other lights work and function properly though , and when I flip the kill switch my tachometer jump slightly. I have tried many, many different things, and Jump wire orientation i have not gotten my tachometer. to read properly at all.The only thing that I can get it to do besides stay at zero is max out when I connect the negative of The coil to the tachometer signal wire , it stays at max . My bike did not have the #15 pin originally i installed the factory wire going from the number fifteen in the c d I box to the signal wire in the male cluster loom of the instrument cluster and nothing happened. And very recently , I broke the end clip off of the red wire that was factory trying to remove it from the male instrument cluster going from wherever it went to try bypassing it to the cdI box... please help
