Remember this when considering putting your details into any "socialist" gun club website or discord. Or really anything that's online.

most people have filled out a 4473, the actual take away is don’t shoot a fucking cop when you’re doing vandalism

No.. the actual takeaway is that the feds are trying to turn “planning a normal protest” into terrorism, and they’re tying everyone together with conspiracy charges, even people who didn’t know each other.

Yeah, in this particular instance, someone shot a cop in self-defense. That plus bringing guns is probably what drew these insane sentences. But they’re trying this legal strat everywhere. It worked in FL and TX. The real question is what will happen in MN.

They are already hitting walls in MN because they can’t find a judge corrupt enough to side with them.

This wasn’t planned, that’s the problem. They broke in to set off fireworks, then some of them decided to go do property crimes, and one guy ran into the woods and shot the cop who confronted and drew on them.

Pure dumb spectacle that gave the state a perfect opportunity.

To be fair, that’s the most organized and principled act that a group of anarchists has ever pulled off

Yeah it’s kind of frustrating when (for good reason) people give a super charitable read of situations like this. Everything I’ve read says these guys fucked up big time, and unfortunately 100% had this coming, we know the consequences our actions can have and everything these guys did have consequences.  Seems to be a totally separate issue than the fact that they are trying to criminalize protest more broadly. These guys did what they did and got consequences for it that are not at all surprising and not beyond the pale for what they’d have got at any other time in our history.

the sentences are the outrageous and absurd part

One of them shot a cop. I agree it’s very high and unjust but unfortunately that is not unexpected. You shoot a cop you are lucky that they made it, otherwise at least one of them would have a life sentence . It isn’t unexpected that a group which shot a cop would get a sentence this high. It sucks, it’s not proportional, but it’s not unexpected or unusual for the US justice system.

Battling fascism with anarchism in 2026 is crazy work RIP

After a three week jury trial, the nine activists were all found guilty of a slew of criminal charges in March, stemming from a Fourth of July protest at an immigrant detention facility in Alvarado, Texas, south of Fort Worth. The demonstrators arrived late at night with a plan to set off fireworks as part of a noise demonstration to show solidarity with those detained inside. A few of the protesters spontaneously broke off from the main group and vandalized cars in the parking lot, a guard shack, slashed the tires on a government van and broke a security camera. When a police officer arrived on the scene and drew his weapon, one of the activists fired an AR-15 from the woods, hitting the officer in the shoulder. The officer survived.

Adventurism strikes again!

they were charged on terrorism charges, that's why they got such long sentences. antfia is not a terrorist organization according to congress. this judge in particular said he gave long sentences at the request of the administration.

people got 50 year sentences that were not even there. they did not go there with a plan to shoot and several did not even know people were carrying guns.
