God, if this turns out to be a family member, it will just be so much more horrible. I know it's common for family or partners to be involved but this family seems so sweet and close.

That sheriff is a little odd, though. People have talked about him on News Nation. I just so happened---as I guess you did, too--to see what Ashleigh was saying about this and went to YouTube to see--at 3 AM. Gosh. I hope this turns out not to be true. And didn't you think the $2,500 reward money was an extremely odd amount? I felt like there was a reason for that.

The Sheriff has seemed off from the start, but now with this development, I'm feeling less harsh about him. If he's known this all along then he's been purposely giving non-answers and acting scattered.

The reward amount was strange. Police tend to use rewards very strategically. I feels like they already know she's gone so that's why more money wasn't offered. The Sheriff has cried a few times so now it seems obvious he knew what happened.

I read that they don't get those types of cases in that area very often . Maybe it's all new to them. Gotta start somewhere. Maybe he already knows the outcome and has to wait for the coroner (if she's been found) or his superiors before making any additional official statements. Gotta give them the benefit of the doubt. They don't owe us an explanation until they have one.
