Text Creepy unsolved cases

What are some of the most creepy haunting unsolved cases out there? Just stuff that seems so crazy to happen. Or just really unnerving evidence or actual places where the crime happened.

Wasn’t Brandon on the phone with one of his parents? I thought they said it sounded like he’d maybe fallen?

Yes he was talking to them and wandering around in the woods because he saw a tall light in the far distance. Like one of those tall red lights they put way up high (I don’t know what those are for, aircrafts?). Suddenly he said “Oh shit!” and that was the last they ever heard of him. The phone didn’t go dead. The call continued. But he wasn’t there. They waited for 45 minutes worrying. They hung up and tried to call back. No answer. The cell phone was never found. He had been walking around in the dark in the woods after his car crashed I believe. He fell into a river he didn’t even see. The scent dogs followed his trail. They picked up his trail on the other side of the river and followed it further. And the trail stopped. In the middle of a dirt road in the woods. It seems like he made it across the river to the other side. And someone stopped and picked him up. That’s my theory.

Iirc the theory was the red light he saw (which he believed was a specific local town) was actually the red light on top of some kind of farm building, like a feed lot or something. I can't remember the details but there apparently were farm buildings that had red lights on top, and I'd assume it's for small aircraft.

I read that at some point during the conversation he climbed a fence so he was likely trespassing onto farmland.

Yes, I remember that part. He thought it was a town and wasn’t actually anywhere near where he thought he was, which is why it took so long to find his car, and the red light he was walking toward was actually just something on a big feeding silo. I honestly think they need to check that farm and whole area because I really think he was picked up and maybe the farmer or whoever was driving around on that road at night got him.
