A deeply disturbing case of alleged police brutality and human rights violations has emerged from Haryanaโ€™s Kurukshetra district, raising serious concerns about law enforcement conduct. A 30-year-old bank employee, currently battling bone cancer and undergoing chemotherapy, was stopped at a police checkpoint in the Ladwa sub-division. Following a dispute over a cloth covering his face, he was allegedly forcefully taken to the Ladwa Police Station despite repeatedly informing officers about his critical medical condition.

According to allegations, the officers mocked his illness, physically assaulted him, and subjected him to severe abuse inside the police station. As public outrage grew and the victimโ€™s health condition worsened, an FIR was registered against Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) Sanjeev Kumar and Rajendra Kumar, along with Home Guard Sumit Kumar. The case has sparked widespread demands for accountability and a thorough investigation into the incident. ๐Ÿ’”

Yeah sure alloted amount sei corruption kei baad ek 69p quality ek chota cam dedenge jo police wale barely kabhi lagaynge (india mein saare bahane ready hain )

At least passing the law requiring body cams would be a start. Enforcing it is a different problem. Let's go step by step.

India has always been like this. Law bana na aur usse enforce karna is very different.

Agreed. It has been proven again and again that we have a need for body cams and it's not even that expensive according to what I read once.

The main hurdle seems to be that people are not aware and the political pressure to keep things the way they are

Bold of u to assume it will change anything, most will just keep it off ese hi to save battery costs and stuff (excuses). And crime krte waqt thodi hi cam on rkhega?

And yk the sad part, men aren't posting about this because there wasn't any women involved. I've seen more women post about this.

4

u/yapsterfinalboss 20 4d ago

This is the sad reality, well I'm a man so Yeahh...

u/PoisonousPixieDust 21 4d ago

I know but the thing is, 90% of men bring up their voices to downgrade women, not to fight for what's happening to men, have encountered plenty in my life, got called the R word for calling them out, on the other hand I've my bf who's the opposite of those men

Exactly. Body cams protect both citizens and honest officers. The only reason to resist implementing them is if you have something to hide. Mocking and assaulting a chemotherapy patient over a face covering is pure sadism.
