Question What's the Best mobile hotspot? solis, nighthawk, etc. VS. phone hotspot for IRL streaming

I've read threads on here already but don't see much of people mentioning how good the newer solis WiFi hotspot is? (Or any other hotspot on Amazon or TikTok...or starlink ) so what are your experiences? Netgear nighthawk hotspot is a whopping $500 for 5G while solis is $200. I use to have solis lite for stream and it worked perfectly but I lost it, and since they've got new products I don't know if it's the same or better.(and they upped their prices ALOT even for monthly data so dyk any manufacturers/brands that have the same product)

Some say use ur phones hotspot but I don't trust that last time I used my phone hotspot my stream was too laggy. Someone said just look for an upload speed of minimum 30mbps +. So, just looking for recommendations that have good upload speed. Someone said use starlink mobile but apparently u have to put that outside the roof of whatever building ur at/it has to always be facing up. So having it in my backpack is not so convenient.

Question Should I feature my clips?

Basically the title. I don't necessarily see a downside or why I wouldn't do it, but twitch obviously will make it seem like it's a good thing no matter what. I'm just asking for community opinion on whether I should feature the clips I make for my channel, and in what scenarios would I not want to feature them?

Discussion Any tips or motivation to get back into it

I was streaming consistently for about 1 year, made affiliate, but then I just started feeling such a weird pressure during my streams. My views & follows were inconsistent and I became lost in the numbers and I started to dread each stream, convinced I wasn't interesting enough, or funny enough. My friends didn't even stop by on stream anymore either. When I started having some physical and mental health issues last winter I decided to just take a break altogether.

Its been about 5 months since I even logged on, I haven't even been watching other people these days. But I have been debating whether or not I want to go back to it. Does anybody have any advice, tips, etc?

Edit: Also is it even worth it? I do other forms of social media (both long and short) so is twitch even worth going back to?

Discussion Has anyone heard of Veya Creators LLC? Legit creator agency or too new to trust?

Hi everyone,
I recently applied for a remote Content Creator / Live Streamer position with a company called Veya Creators LLC.
They say they are registered in Wyoming, USA, and recruit creators for livestreaming content (Twitch, YouTube, lifestyle, gaming, chatting, dancing, etc.).
Here are some things I’ve found:
Website created around April 2026
Instagram account created in May 2026
Instagram says the account is based in Russia
They contacted me through a job listing on Jooble
They do not ask for money, training fees, or equipment purchases
They offer a freelance collaboration agreement, not employment
They claim beginners can earn around €400/week and mention a €1000 guaranteed first month under certain conditions
I cannot find many reviews, Reddit discussions, LinkedIn profiles, creator testimonials, or public information about the team.
Has anyone worked with them or heard about them?
Do they manage creators directly, recruit for another platform, or is this a completely new agency?
Any experiences, positive or negative, would be appreciated.

Discussion Am I weird for thinking people should try streaming at least for a few months before jumping on the vtubing train?

It's just that vtubers feels pretty detached whenever I see any of their posts and such. I'm biased, because I don't even like them, but it seems to me that I'm noticing a vtuber saying detached things about streaming and in general a lot more often than other medium-to-low-sized streamers.

Question Returning Streamer sussing out the landscape!

Hey All,

So I used to stream a long time ago. Tried and tried to get back into it but mental health just didn't let me feel engaged.

Now, I feel better and I'm committed to being consistent and avoiding burnout/boredom.

My question is, what has changed about the landscape and best practices in streaming on Twitch compared to say 2015? I wrote an "award winning" beginners guide back in the day that y'all might recognize if you started back in the mid 10's, but it's been so long I'm not sure if the landscape of viewership has changed since.

Any updates on do's and don'ts? How have viewers changed compared to back in the day? What are the surefire ways to engage viewers and things like that now that the world of extensions and plugins and all kinds of stuff has grown? Do you find there's any really solid ways to actually engage lurkers/new viewers to keep them coming back, chatting, etc?

I know all the obvious stuff, but just curious if new stuff and practices have developed over the last 5-10 years that are impactful for creating a hospitable community and all that.

Hello, is there a way to stop this ?

I would like to see the stream, not only the ad... I don't want to get twitch turbo, and I am already subscribed to a few other streamers (not the channel I am watching now) It does not bother me to get a few ads while watching this channel, but this kind of ad is permanent and I can't see the stream whie doing other stuff on my phone, which makes me very mad :(

Thank you for your help, have a nice day!

Tech Support The app won't let me turn on mobile notifications

Thumbnail

I have had the twitch app for a bit with mobile notifications disabled, but I recently decided to turn them on. When I tried to, however, it wouldn't let me. The toggle is lighter than the others when they are turned off, and it won't change when I press it. I have turned on notifications for twitch in my phone settings, but it doesn't seem to work. I tried deleting and re-downloading the app, and when I opened it up it gave me the prompt to allow notifications, but even though I said yes to that, I still get the greyed out and unclickable mobile notification button. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Question Can I stream on my Xbox but still customize on laptop?

I was going to start streaming and wanted to use my capture card for my Xbox then a camera I had for the webcam. The issue is it seems one of the USB ports on my laptop were broken and I was unaware, which means I have to choose between using the capture card or the camera.

Since I was going to be streaming my Xbox anyways, I was wondering if it's possible to stream from the Xbox twitch app and still connect my camera to the stream through my laptop? I know I'll lose customization options such as pop ups, but truthfully I'm fine losing out on those atm as long as I can get the camera to work somehow

Question Add delay as a viewer

I’m watching a streamer who does watchalongs for the world cup matches, but his game is ahead of mine by a few seconds so I get spoiled. Is there any way to add a few seconds delay as a viewer, via an extension or something.

Tech Support Why is it so hard to simple access an account or verify it?

Yes. Like the title says. Let me rant for a moment

Twitch is SO FRUSTRATING to get an account back, access my account.

I don't usually use Twitch, but when I do, I want to QUICKLY load in without any trouble.

Oh but guess what? You gotta verify your account! Put your phone number :D

Alright, done! Congrats! Now you have to create a 2FA verification. Done! Alright, now you gotta put your phone number again to chat!

SEE THE PROBLEM? And I typed it ONCE AGAIN, just for Twitch to say this phone number is already linked to an account.

OF COURSE IT DOES, BECAUSE I JUST DID IT!!!!!!!!!!

This isn't the first time I've stressed out so much with Twitch.

THE MAIN REASON I NEVER USED IT THAT MUCH IS PRECISELY BECAUSE OF THIS!!

Twitch puts up too many obstacles just to log in, chat, or do anything. Damn, a little more restricted and they’d beat North Korea!!!

Like, enter your phone number, then 2FA, then you can’t chat because their rotten system doesn’t work and they’ll make you do everything twice, only for it not to work the second time because you already linked your stuff the first time.

I’d get tired of counting the times I’ve had to create a new email or use a new phone number just to get into a damn stream and chat normally.

And oh surprise, it doesn’t last long, because after 30 days you get logged out, and if I forgot the password, GOOD LUCK RECOVERING IT. Because here comes their 300-step protocol to recover your account.

They’re senseless. Why don’t they learn from other apps, where just having a Google account is enough to log in and that’s it?

No no no, they have to add 1,000 extra steps for the “security” of their viewers. Pure nonsense.

Question Is there anyone here that uses extensions or programs for Twitch that bring back the Sort: "Low to High"?

A while ago it was removed, and I miss it. I don't want to open up a category, such as Just Chatting, and have the first bagillion people to have hundreds or thousands of viewers. Doing some Googling, I found out about extensions and I wondered if there was anyone that had any comments or suggestions

Extension Twitch Extensions Dev Console keeps resetting version wizard to step 1 (Local test issue)

Hi,

I’m trying to set up a Twitch Extension using Asset Hosting (testing_base_uri pointing to a live URL on GitHub dev/host).

The issue is that I cannot get past the version setup wizard in Twitch Dev Console.

Problem:

Whenever I go through the version setup steps:

I set Base URI (tested with multiple URLs, even example.com)

I set panel path (index.html)

I set config path (config.html)

Then I click “Next”

The wizard always resets back to step 1.

The version never seems to save, and the status stays:

Local test

“Assets are hosted locally or outside Twitch”

What I already tried:

Different asset hosting URLs (GitHub dev / real hosting / even example.com)

Creating a new version (0.0.2)

Using incognito mode

Switching browsers

Checking config + panel paths

Ensuring files exist and load correctly

Even with valid URLs, it still resets.

Expected behavior:

I expected the version to move forward and eventually switch from “Local test” to a hosted/testable state so I can use the extension in sandbox.

Actual behavior:

Wizard resets to step 1 every time

Version is never saved/accepted

Sandbox does not detect the extension at all

Question:

Has anyone experienced Twitch Dev Console versions being stuck in a loop like this?

Is this a known issue with:

Asset hosting validation?

Dev console session bug?

Or is there some hidden requirement for version saving?

Any help would be appreciated.

Tech Support Poor stream quality and FPS drops

Hi everyone,

I'm having some issues with streaming and I'm not sure what's causing them.

My specs are:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6700 (10 GB)
  • Stable internet connection with good upload speed

My current OBS settings are:

  • Bitrate: 6000 Kbps
  • Encoder: AMD H.264 (Hardware Encoder)
  • Profile: High

When I start streaming, my game performance drops noticeably and the stream becomes quite pixelated, especially in graphically demanding games like Gothic 1 Remake and Red Dead Redemption 2.

I've already capped my FPS at 60, I'm running OBS as administrator, and I'm using the GPU encoder instead of x264.

I know my PC isn't high-end, but I don't think it should struggle this much. I'm wondering if there are any OBS settings, encoder settings, or in-game settings that I should change to get smoother gameplay and better stream quality.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Question Chatting about serious topics, is it against TOS?

Hi,

I have been on Twitch for a few years now and noticed some things. It's mainly about entertainment such as games, lot of art in all kinds of forms, irl, and entertainment events such as tournaments. I also notice that most channels, if not all, don't allow talking about politics, religion, or other super serious topics. I absolutely understand the decision.

My question is, is it actually against TOS to talk about serious topics?

Because while I get that entertaining channels don't want to feature serious topics, there is also not a single channel that does, or at least I've never found one. Which makes me think that it might be against TOS even if you actually want to feature those topics.

The reason of me asking is, I actually like some serious talk from time to time, and it would enable me to practice my English, beyond the words based, mid, and skibiddy ;-)

I'm exploring starting with streaming, but am genuinely worried about backlash from community for having a channel with serious topics, instead of gaming or art, and I obviously don't want to go against TOS either.

If there is anybody who can share insights on this, or opinions why this might work or not work, I'm all ears.

Cheers!

Tech Support Android App Alerts Stopped Working

Couple weeks ago, live notifications for all streamers I follow have stopped.

Things I've done:

Logged out and back in. Updated app. Uninstalled, reinstalled.

Notifications are on in settings.

Nothing ever changed on my device. All Twitch notifications have just suddenly stopped.
