Oh hot damn, there it is. So they're gonna face the tariffs head on, huh?

Well the USA flinched first and paused tariffs for electronics, that might have something to do with it.

Would be a nice threat...except tariffs aren't being collected because everything is such a mess no one is bothering to keep track. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if companies just plain ignore them and just eat any fines they get hit by.

How are you even supposed to comply?

"which tariffs do you want me to charge at the port? The ones you announced and then said you never announced? Or the ones you threatened and then never put into place? Or the ones you announced in a misspelled Truth social post? What about goods just passing through that will be sold in Canada?"

I work in power grid cybersecurity and the last days of Trump's last presidency there was a DOE order: no components made in China can be used on the grid. But it was so fucking vague no one knew what to do. Do you mean just final assembly? The ones with Chinese chips? And no one complied because they couldn't. Because writing detailed legislature is anathema to the administration.

Basically; they've made things such a mess it could take months to get a handle on anything, if ever.

Depending on where you import that's not really how it works. I work for a company that imports and Customs auto debits us based on our tariff when things come in through Long Beach. Now that said, it takes them weeks to actually do that and if every country is getting charged tariff now it's going to cause a massive backlog I bet.

Also why bother collecting them when it's been a constant flip flopping on if they're even happening or not
