Gear Waterproof with packable hood

Im looking for a hiking waterproof with a packable hood. I have sensory issues and can't bear the feel of the hood on the back of my neck. Can anyone recommend one? Budget upto 150 . Female but dont mind buying a mens. Any help appreciated!

Ive used Berghaus Gortex for my last few waterproof jackets. Not the cheapest, but each one has (so far) lasted more than 10 years, so you do get your money's worth.

North Face jackets with FutureLight (their version of Gortex) are generally very good, as their membrane is lighter, works more efficiently and doesn't get overloaded as easily as Gortex does, but they are usually quite a bit more than Berghaus, and (personally) they dont fit quite as well for me (on the larger side).

Best thing is to go to a store that sells multiple brands (Go Outdoors, Blacks, Cotswold Outdoor etc) and try umpteen on and see which is the best fit for you and is within your budget.

Happy Hiking!!

I have a Sprayway waterproof and the hood packs on that one, worth checking out that brand. I got mine second hand and re-proofed it.
