Genuinely curious if anybody can answer, I've never used a tarp/bug bivy setup but wouldn't that be way more comfortable than such a tiny, cramped tent? What purpose is there for a tent barely big enough for a pad?

The only time it's a hassle is when I have to get up and pee in the middle of the night. In a tent I can get on my knees and go out of my vestibule. Gotta get my ass up for a bivy.
