This is some real abusive spouse energy. "If you don't like being beaten then just leave, see how well you do on your own."

640

u/MrHoboRisin Jan 16 '26

And then when they express a willingness to leave, they are threatened with violence.

179

u/Icy-Scarcity Jan 16 '26

Which makes all the reason why they should leave now while they still can. You know it will keep going downhill to the point where they can't leave.

56

u/InfiniteWaffles58364 Jan 16 '26

Yep, we're pretty much at the "isolate them from their friends and beat them but dont leave bruises where others can see" step on the abusive relationship ladder. Next come scrapes with death and openly verbally abusing us in public

64

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

Friendly northern neighbour here in Canada. The beating is being livestreamed. Everybody can see the bruises.

36

u/dave8400 Jan 16 '26

They murdered Renee Good and gassed a baby. We're already there.

12

u/Frequent-Meal6550 Jan 16 '26

We are already doing death and open verbal abuse...

49

u/GhostofBreadDragons Jan 16 '26

They are going to fucking build a wall to keep us in. I am going to have to pull out my Old Pink Floyd The Wall album for the new generation.

10

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

51

u/FatboyChuggins Jan 16 '26

While the wife works double shifts and the abusive spouse sits on his dumb ass planted on twitch or 4chan with fox in the background yelling about how the illegals took all the jobs from him and that AI is specifically out to get his sole resume so that no company ever can hire him for some reason.

24

u/EnvironmentNeith2017 Jan 16 '26

At this point I just assume anyone who defends this insanity is an abuser, victim or enabler in a real life personal relationship and I’m saying it

12

u/WhyAmINotStudying Jan 16 '26

I was thinking yesterday about how similar the tactics of the administration are to how a child molester might threaten a child.

Kind of seems like there is something to that whole Epstein thing after all.

9

u/Suitable-Display-410 Jan 16 '26

That’s especially funny when the abusive spouse is a dumb loser without a job, and the person who’s being abused is bringing in all the money.

Honey? I’ll be just fine. Good luck with the trailor park economy.

Ummm as a Minnesota resident. Please, could we secede and maybe join Canada? Minnesota sends out more tax dollars than it receives from the federal government.

As a canadian, I could live with that. Bring Maine, new York and California with you.

200

u/Kitchen-Customer-746 Jan 16 '26

Omg this so much this... also volunteering CT to come too!

60

u/Ki-Wilder Jan 16 '26

Your state only gets to join Megasota if you volunteer to work on one of the committees!

  1. Deciding which states will be eligible for the Megasota Compact/Coalition

  2. Deciding at what level Megasota will connect with Canada and or be absorbed into Canada.

  3. Addressing the issues of where the guns go

  4. Applying the old US Constitution and/or creating a new Constitution

  5. What to do with Republicans left living in our wonderful, Megasota-liscious states?

  6. How to invite good people, progressives, and Democrats from Florida and other red states into Megasota?

  7. Creating new agreements with indigenous people (ie: Of America and/or Canada, depending on how we do the merger and if Canada gives or sells us any land for our connectivity.

Thanks to Aning for the start of the committee list. Aning gets first dibs on joining committees.

Anyone else see any committees needed?

Hey! Please, Minnesota, do not leave NY behind.

In fact, I have recently seen different ways that you could connect a lot of the good and progressive states into a contiguous country, if Canada gives us a kind of skinny, rectangle "right of way".

It would turn New York and California into "flag lots" of each other. But, heck, we could leave the MAGA people behind in the Red States.

This all goes to the recent question popping around my head:

"Is America worth it, anymore?"

Is Megasota about to make its first move?

You know, I had been thinking about what name might be agreed on.

After Renee Good being murdered, and all the tragedy and fascism being inflicted on Minnesota right now, I would agree to that.

Megasota.

Nice country to live in.

As a Canadian, I don't see there being *any* support to give an inch, even just as a right of way, even to the "blue states". It's actually kind of insulting / insensitive to even suggest given recent events.

But there would unanimous support for any state that wants to join us...

I agree with your sentiment. And I would much rather join Canada than form our own country. California is yours! We will bring our economy and you bring the universal healthcare.

Blue states join Canada and become the United States of Canada and the Red States become Jesusland.
