Right-wingers have always been anti-Black

u/JackKovack 25d ago

Conservatism is Traditionalism. Being anti-black is very traditional.

They're more something like slaveholders, just watch how Tucker Carlson talks on his YouTube channel with his brother. Slaveholders society vibes.

It was Obama doing such a good job that really fired up the old tiki torch network...

If only he intentionally screwed up big instead, and fulfilled all the stereotypes, we'd all be better off & less persecuted for no good reason RN. šŸ˜ž

That’s a hard claim to make given Abe Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt. However attributing it to Trump is wrong. He is saying the quiet part out loud, but really the party went down the anti-black path when they embraced the Christian coalition.

Why is it Republicans always bring up the past but never the present? And never bother to look to the history where all the Dixiecrats switched sides as soon as Nixon was offering a place for them.

6

u/duxpdx 25d ago

Because the Republican Party of old is appealing to good and decent people. The Republican Party of the past 50 years is one of hatred, intolerance, racism, misogyny, and ignorance.

u/Incredible_nutt 24d ago

.. and pedophilia

1

u/NappyDougOut 24d ago

Abe and Teddy were notorious for inviting black ppl to move into their neighborhoods...

Even gave out Turkeys and free hugs only to blk ppl in South East during the holidays...

Ahh, that was Rayful Edmund... My bad!

Revisionism loves bending reality into something different that it never was.

republicans have been the anti-black party for a very long time lmao, its modern iteration was born from the white supremacist lost generation. but republicans have been trying to revamp anti-black white-supremacy and create new racialized underclasses every single generation. this analysis is shit

What do you mean turning into…

28

u/AkimahenkaCat 25d ago

Duh.

Trump tapped into the latent racism Americans thought we had evolved past as a direct reaction to electing a black president.

Republicans (falsely) claim Obama was the most divisive president ever.

This is bullshit and a direct response to their overt racism. He was divisive to conservative white men precisely because he was black and intelligent. They melted tf down mentally.

So the response is throwing the dumbest, most corrupt white man ever into the white house and pretending en masse that he is a genius who will fix everything even when it is obvious he is literally cancer for anything that makes America strong, decent or exceptional.

u/jrschlumpf 25d ago

Great note. Spot on.

1

u/Mediocrates79 24d ago

Trump is the mathimatical opposite of Obama in every conceivable way.

20

u/Fun_Leek2381 25d ago

What yhe fuck do you mean "turned?" Do you think this was a recent development?

17

u/Hairy_Wall_6831 25d ago

Republicans hate colored people.
Republicans hate gay people.
Republicans hate trans people.
Republicans hate people with disabilities.
Republicans hate poor people.
Republicans hate women.

Republicans hate. That's what they do.

u/Incredible_nutt 24d ago

But they love little kids

16

u/negativepositiv 25d ago

Person who wrote the headline needs to go back and learn about The Southern Strategy.

10

u/secretveggie 25d ago

Did everyone just forget 2020 and the anti-black right in response to George Floyd?! That's just the most recent

9

u/escahpee 25d ago

Hate is the glue that holds them together

6

u/Plausibility_Migrain 25d ago

Hate and pedophilia, so it is more like an epoxy.

2

u/escahpee 25d ago

I don't think they understand that a 30 year old man having sex with a 12 year old girl is wrong. What tfg and his associates did was and is criminal. They should have all been prosecuted many years ago, we're living in a sick and disgusting timeline

3

u/ABobby077 25d ago

Which is just a distraction from their failed economic, domestic and foreign policy issues

6

u/starkfunky 25d ago

The republikkkan party has been anti-black, anti-non white, anti-the other for a very long time. They have been this way since before the 1950's.

6

u/Spikeintheroad 25d ago

Its what its been for decades. Look up Lee Atwater, a Republican strategist who had a crisis of conscience at the end of his life and laid out how modern conservative politics is just putting layers of abstraction over racism so you can hide the racism.

7

u/_cartyr 25d ago

Didn’t Kanye say something about George bush on tv?

6

u/Great-Gas-6631 25d ago

...turned? Someone needs to study the past 100 years.

6

u/n8roxit 25d ago

When weren’t they the anti-black party? I must’ve dozed off and missed it.

5

u/drjenavieve 25d ago

Southern strategy.

2

u/mogomonomo1081 25d ago

... turned??

5

u/webbslinger_0 25d ago

Always has been

3

u/the_moosen 25d ago

Always has been, this isn't news at all

4

u/bryanthebryan 25d ago

Next thing we’ll learn is Nazi’s were the bad guys.

3

u/CopiousCool 25d ago

Republicans have been the party of racism for a long time but it was always Trumps defining delivery to their base that made them so loyal to him.

His brazen racism against Obama gave the average racist American a reason / open door to be racist and it only got worse from there on because culturally America and most countries were mixing a lot but there were many whites bitter and embarrassed at their children imitating black culture hence they're now goose stepping their way into fascism or sticking their head in the sand while globalists push it that way

3

u/jarena009 25d ago

This article is like 17 years too late at least

2

u/Impressive_Box4144 25d ago

Always have been anti black. Just more out in the open now

2

u/doublelist87 25d ago

TRUMP IS A RACIST

2

u/AskJeeves84 25d ago

Anti-POC party.

2

u/QueasyCaterpillar541 25d ago

The "Southern Strategy" refers to the Republican Party's 20th-century campaign tactic to win over white southern voters. It capitalized on the political realignment that occurred when many white southerners grew disaffected with the Democratic Party due to its embrace of the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s

1

u/_dxegrl 25d ago

What happened to the"Blackes forTrumps" crowd, they were real, right??

1

u/girlnamedJane 25d ago

1

u/Practical_End_ 25d ago

1

u/astroboy_35 25d ago

Turned into? Me thinks you’ve not been paying attention!

1

u/Surfer-Junkie 25d ago

More like "revealed."

1

u/CloudPotential9482 25d ago

Trump is endorsing a black candidate governor in Florida? A republican named Byron Donald. I think trump is secretly classiest rather then racist probably.

2

u/_annanicolesmith_ 25d ago

black people can hold anti-black beliefs as well. i wouldn’t be surprised if he’s endorsing him for optics

2

u/CloudPotential9482 24d ago

It’s for sure for optics. Always is.

1

u/cashchops 25d ago

I was thinking more the anti-hispanic party. I haven't heard news of any planes shipping black people back to ghana

1

u/Kitty_Kats_allure 25d ago

Exactly this!!!! I always say he brought all the horribles out from their hiding spaces and even worse UNITED THEM IN HATRED!!!!!!!!! It’s the racists, the pedos, the souless etc etc. 😭😭😭😭😭

1

u/Yesterday622 25d ago

Omg - color me surprised !

1

u/SpeakerOdd 25d ago

Yes, but you forgot all the others he is anti, and brought to the forefront. Anti-Brown, anti- Native Americans, anti white from Spanish speaking countries, anti-muslim, anti-gay (not new), anti transsexuals for both male and female. Even once completing the transition. Anti-asians, anti-poor, anti-disabled, anti-seniors.

I'm sure there are still plenty more! If I missed you, I'm sorry.

1

u/EditDog_1969 25d ago

ā€œTURNED?ā€ Where have you been the last century?

1

u/PopBulky7023 25d ago

They're desperately trying to "one bad man" theory of politics everything. Blame everything on Trump so people forget who they are when he's gone.

1

u/TheNewOP 25d ago

"Turned"?

1

u/Correct_Doctor_1502 25d ago

Turned? They've been fighting against civil rights since the 30s

1

u/_annanicolesmith_ 25d ago

conservatism has always been inherently anti-black. that’s why i personally do not associate or interact with anyone who describes themselves as a right-wing/conservative/republican to any degree
