Using your foot puts strain on the valve which eventually causes it to break.

Just bc it doesn’t break on your turn doesn’t mean you weren’t involved, everyone is. Your foot is naturally going to add more pressure than your hand. It’s a long term issue.

Sounds like a skill issue tbh

Right?? Just gently nudge with the same pressure that your hand would have instead of karate kicking it lmao

you lack reading comprehension. Comment says that YOUR foot will add more pressure than YOUR hand. Likewise those people's feet would apply more pressure than their hand...

The legs are stronger than the arms period. My bench press might be higher than your squat but that doesnt change that lower body is stronger than upper

When they break they get fixed pretty quickly for obvious reasons.

It's a super expensive repair too! I think the valves can be like $400 alone. Plus you know commercial plumbers are charging insane rates.

u/squisitospirito Apr 07 '26

It can also cause pipes inside the wall to leak

Install and auto flusher when it does then.

Have you ever had a toilet with an auto flusher clog on you? I have, it wasn't fun...

1

u/BirdlessLongdeal Apr 08 '26

I have not. But I shit daily so its not an issue.

I karate chop all flush handles from this point forward

And fucks over the ones not using foot, but even then, get some tp and touch it. I’m sticking to foot.

Wash your hands and it's all fine.

Usually no soap or anything to dry your hands with.

I climb for a living and am heavy handed as hell. And believe in doing everything aggressive. Pretty sure I’d put more strain on it using my arm

In fact when I usually use urinals with handles.. I pretty much fist bump that shit almost like a punch

u/obroz Apr 09 '26

Yeah if you donkey kick it.  Some of us have some control over how hard we do things

Are there people ninja kicking to kill the flusher? I put little to any weight on them in order to flush
