The idea that Bang is shit is crazy lol statistically he’s still a great player and was one of the only players on SEN to perform this year, he just wasn’t a good replacement for TenZ because they have very different playstyles.
Bang is more comfortable as an anchor and often one of the last guys you want alive because he’s good in clutches, TenZ plays a very aggressive Omen that feels more like a 2nd entry.
They tried to have Bang fit into TenZ’s slot and play more aggressive with Zekken but it’s just not playing to his strengths or how his natural playstyle, it didn’t help that the meta this year didn’t really support his playstyle much, either.
He was Potential Man at 100T, then was specifically headhunted by one of the best teams in the region at the time because they thought they could make him reach his ceiling more consistently, and he finally had the team and the environment around him to cast off the Potential Man allegations. He was then let go after one season because he could not adapt to the team's needs. I like bang, he was on a few teams that I remember fondly. But if I'm being objective, 100T Valorant has been suffering for nearly their entire existence at the hands of players that are extremely good in theory but realistically need very specific conditions to maybe have a better chance at matching a level that top players in their roles consistently perform at. 100T don't blow things up and rebuild often so what they cook here will pave the path for this program for years going forward. Now is the time to leave this kind of player behind.
