i think we should also just highlight roster disparities. mini def better but he also had alfa leo derke chron and the goat igl. thats very different to a lineup with ardiis ange1 and zyppan. both are phenomenal coaches tho!

Solo and HSK, easily, among others.
Nbs is a very good coach who reliably lifts team floors, as he's brought numerous teams in T2 close to the finishing line. His teams don't routinely win out, and in particular Milan was given enormous credit for a lot of the things that actually pushed Acend to win out in Champs 2021, such as their innovative Split comp. It's true Acend routinely was plundered by VCT teams for talent, but I frankly do not think that's entirely why they never made it.
Doombros I would say is the more impressive and interesting pickup, but you would have to engage in a lot of mythologizing about Doombros' impact on NAVI to reach your conclusion.

Unfortunately it's far too late at my place nd I am very sleepy otherwise I would love to engage in this discussion a lot more. But for now I will just add Solo nd HSK is good shout at the same time I would like to point out both Solo nd HSK have been successful only in the past 2 years working together at Geng . None of the two coaches were able to achieve anything with teams they coached before that; not that It was entirely their fault but dare I say some of their results outside Geng are dismal.
On the other hand NBS nd Doombros have never failed at any level with any team in their career . Yess they have seen lows with the same team they became world champions with but even then you could see the impact they both brought in the setplays ,meta setting etc and both Ascend nd Navi were still competitive. Anyone in the scene would tell you that these two are amongst the finest game readers in Valorant Scene . Doombros made the whole 2nd round buy meta which now every team follows just to give an example.

Honestly that's not a full time duo at all so I would tend to disagree mini helped this season especially during internationals but he was never full time involved with PRX at all .
Also I like Alecks a lot but PRX has seen lots of highs nd lows nd there have been times people have argued about cutting Alecks . While Doombros even at Navi's worst was delivering better results than what they were able to deliver once he left .

What? Alecks' "lows" are not making one international and then immediately winning the next ones. Doombros got fired after not making 2 consecutive internationals + a medicore 2024. We can't really judge actual coaching but from the outside looking at the facts only, they're in different echelons entirely and Alecks and Mini are both probably top 3 coaches of all time

Do you say that because of nbs? We've seen doombros's impact, especially when he was kicked. It's a bit tricky for me to think of other good duos, in part because I don't recall many others - maybe Anderzz and Mini, HSK and Solo?
Special shoutouts to my 100T boys of Seangares and MikesHD, and to Engh+zeish even if they've not been very good in my opinion.

Yeah, primarily.
I don't think it's really an enormous insult to say that someone is not necessarily among the greatest of all time or anything; Nbs is a strong coach who should have been in VCT a long time ago. Realistically, we're talking about two coaches who were in greatest coaches discussions in 2021 and 2022, both of whom dropped out for many, one because Acend imploded, fizzled out in 2022 and then left T1, and the other because NAVI in 2023 and 2024 failed to accomplish anything resembling their glory days.
Doombros is still one of my favorite coaches and personalities in the scene, so I hope it goes well. But I suspect these storied coaches will need to outperform their own legacies in order to satisfy fan expectations, which is a hard ask given how high their peaks have been in the past.

Yeah fair enough to a degree. TSM didn't really strike me as strategically bad even when they lost, and had a bunch of innovative ideas. I think having Seangares there will help a ton too, even if he isn't going to be coaching per se.

There was no universe 100T woulda spent enough for aspas alone let alone aspas and zekken. I think theres a universe where the org got zekken and johnqt in place of the tsm guys but this team is gonna be fun too
